A little while ago I put up a poll on my twitter (psst, I have twitter) asking which of four songs would you like to see a BVG eurobeat arrange of. This disco classic won by a pretty big margin of 43.8%, so here it is! This was a very fun track to remix, and I found a nice balance of staying true to the original and giving it my eurobeat flair.

HAHAHA You just got Rick Rolled in 8 Bit on Steroids style! This was remixed from a random midi found on the net using Synthfont. I just had to do this one. It's a good song that you can't help but like even after being Rick Rolled back in the meme's heyday. Enjoy! Credit goes to Rick Astley for making the original song.

I had fun with the last few days of the 21 Days of VGM challenge!

But I won't lie, this is very blatantly inspired by Yuji Toriyama's "Bay/Sky Provincetown 1977," one of my favourite compositions of his--I wanted to emulate this style at least once in my own way, so this was a prime time to try doing so, I felt.

I've been wanting to take another swing at this song for a long time. It took me quite a while to figure out how I wanted to approach it, though. I wanted to give it more of an R&B sound, while keeping it relatively 80s. I had to make a lot of decisions about what fit and what didn't, which kept this one on the backburner for about a week, but I'm very happy with the result. I built the song arrangement around the bass, and only kept a few tracks from the original composition I did back in 2012 or so.

Amazingly, this tune uses only instruments in the Rhythm Heaven soundfont. I wanted the chord progressions to be a bit more unique and satisfying in this one. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not I succeeded.

I can never really find a way to progress the chord back to the original after going nuts... it's SOOOO HAAAARD.
