Circuits & Shields is an MOBA game with a modern twist, currently in development. It's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of MOBAs, or just games in general.

For this piece, I felt the need to kick it all off by establishing a theme - something versatile that can be expanded upon in future pieces. It's an interesting idea since the role of music in MOBAs is kinder to a wide range of champion themes rather than any unifying motif, but a solid theme is always a good foundation for bigger (and better) things in the future. ▸ Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay, I was just enjoying my summer for a while but now I should be back on track. I did something interesting with this piece: the parts that sound like electric guitar at around 1:50 are not guitars at all. Its actually low brass thats hooked up to a heavy metal amplifier. While not physically possible, it still sounds awesome, which is all that matters at the end of the day, yes?

I was asked to write a demo for Harmonic Subtones new sample library "Emotional Violin" Besides the Piano and the dark pad all other sounds are from the violin library. Some sounds where postprocessed with reverb, EQ and compression.
