"Rain" is my interpretation of one of those lazy rainy summer days when you love someone and all you want to do is stay inside.

I call "Where Do Lover's Go" a country song but really it's an amalgamation of a ton of goodies like rock, adult alternative, indie and it has sort of a KT Tunstall "Black Horse" kind of a vibe. It feels terrific to finally write and perform a song that encapsulates your essence as an artist. WDLG really does this in more ways than you can imagine. Enjoy! On My Way-Bluegrass

As I was just saying on my Facebook profile, this song has been a blessing and a challenge. I actually finished it last year but wasn't thrilled with the settings on the mix. I finally had a chance to stop over to the studio yesterday December 11th and reworked it. I'm still not exactly sure how I feel about this so I'm relinquishing my reins on it to you all. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think. If you love it pop a heart on it and leave a comment. That would be most helpful. In my opinion the vocals seem a tad bright and crisp. But what do I know. Things always sound different at the studio with a completely different setting. Then you go home hear it and want to kick a door. I do love the song as it a tender reminder of the fundamental purpose of the celebratory occasion. The emotional arrangement with lovely acoustic and electric guitar riffs/chords is all thanks to a brilliant guitarist named Austin Moorehead.

In "Goin to Church" I had fun creating a track with a traditional bluegrass arrangement. My goal was to create an upbeat, inspiring, and fresh song rooted in gospel.

Country, bluegrass singer and songwriter, Rubi's music is a fun amalgamation of sounds.  "On My Way" is rooted in bluegrass gospel while "Where Do Lovers Go" is a pop, rock, country trifecta of swag.
