This is my remix of the wonderful and powerful She Makes War song (Love) Like Liars. You can listen to and buy the original here, http://shemakeswar.bandcamp.com/album/disarm. It's well worth a go as the whole album is brilliant.

The original track is very different. I have slowed the whole thing down and built a bed of just intoned quintal harmonies in the reverbs. I have also taken some shocking liberties with the verse structure in order to build the soundscape I was looking for. Listening to the original will show you the song in it's true glory though.

Spirit Animals

My daughter decided she wanted to make a song. So we did. I've comped together something from a few takes of her improvising over an asymmetric 12/8 pattern I was playing with and the result is Darkness and Devils. I think I have a little goth on my hands.

My musical life is liminal. In the past I studied composition, composed music for theatre and film and even played in the odd band (some of them were very odd). I find myself bouncing on a musical meniscus these days. I sometimes break the surface tension momentarily but often rebound in to other pursuits.
