In the process of selecting songs for "The Uncanny" album, we had some fun in the studio playing some songs that didn't make the cut. One of those was a cover of a GREAT Wanda Jackson song, "Tongue Tied." Here's the demo from that session!

When I was at the RCA I took a trip to Sun Records to see where this song was recorded. After the Sam Phillip's death the studio was turned into a scuba diving shop which seems like pretty silly business sense if you look at Memphis on the map.

I spent part of the last lockdown in London having guitar lessons with the brilliant Tristan McCoppin on zoom and this what we worked on. 
I first heard this song in a sandwich shop in East London. I remember having an enormous hangover, but thankfully the guy who worked there put this record on which turned out better than taking two aspirin.
