Still to date one of my favourite mixes, can Jah Sunshine ever surface?

6 years later i still listen to this mix whenever i want to hear some quality dubstep.Also this part right here is to date one of the best things i have ever heard.Sadly its some super next level mashup/studiochop/magic that will never see the light of day as a released track :D

Copenhagen, the new album from Stillhead mixes experimental, cinematic and futuristic dub, glimpses of drum & bass and his trademark deep, expansive, intricate sound. Immersive and wide-screen electronica meets ultra-tight percussion with a variety of vocals peppered throughout.

Alongside a full album of original tracks, there are a host of incredible remixes which bring the sounds of Stillhead that little closer to the dancefloor.

Bop, Hatti Vatti, Versa, Tonik Ensemble, Mr. Roque, Generate, Other Spectrum and Another Channel all bring their unique sounds and production genius to the table taking their remixes in a range of new directions.

The album is Stillhead’s document of his year spent living in the Danish capital.

Deep Heads are proud to present the first single 'Mum' taken from the debut EP 'Music from the Vaults' by the extremely talented Sidi.

Born in Finland in 1996, but raised in Germany, Sidi, aka Andreas Kühn, has been producing music for quite some time now. As a teenager, he studied drums and saxophone and played in several bands. At the age of 16 he became more serious about producing electronic music, which has been his main artistic outlet ever since.

The lead track here 'Mum' is a magical journey, carried on a stream of frequencies that flow deep into a forest of beautiful sound structures. Lead synths dive into an array of delays that float effortlessly around the track, while the beat guides and pulses through the energy of the arrangement. Our favourite track here at Deep Heads for this fantastic EP, coming soon on the label.

Influenced by electronic musicians such as Burial and Boards of Canada, he incorporates 70's Soundtrack nostalgia and warmth of Folk with his own unique, lo-fi production style.

Sidi describes his music-making as a therapy and escape from reality. In his own words - 'Many of the tracks were inspired out of personal grief, mislead relationships, depression, anxiety and feelings of loneliness.'

The sounds on the EP are original recordings of real instruments, all composed by Sidi, which were sampled and manipulated to create lush and warm textures. Layers of field recordings are also expertly incorporated into the productions, giving the record a totally unique & organic energy.
