The weekend was truly enchanting, marking the inception of my voyage into the realm of healing sounds. This is a small fragment of the ending, yet it heralded the start of an extraordinary journey.

EL BAILE EBRIO DE XOCHILPILLI


Xochipilli, el príncipe de las flores en la mitología azteca podría sin duda ser considerado el creador más prolífico de las tierras mexicanas… la riqueza de los suelos con ayuda de tlaloc fueron una cuna idónea para lanzarse en un impulso desenfrenado. El bailarín infatigable y ebrio de belleza se expresa con la más etérea generosidad, a cada paso, Xochilpilli hace brotar la vida bajo sus delicados pies al contacto de la tierra. 

El performance evolutivo parecería no tener ni inicio ni fin y nunca repetirse. Su inspiración genera en cada momento nuevos gestos, nuevas ramificaciones que exploran incansablemente los caminos de la vida. Iteración tras iteración, sutiles y elegantes, los caminos antes considerados como desviaciones, evolucionan hacia caminos y vias, por lo que encarnan, con su existencia, la apertura del campo de posibilidades para las generaciones venideras.

Si me pides mi opinión, que Xochipilli sea a la vez príncipe de las flores, dios de la danza y del juego no es casualidad. La Concepción misma de la creación original y abundante es a mi parecer alcanzar la ligereza del juego, esa que nos llena de una energía genuina y generosa, sin cálculo, es mero fruto irreproducible  de nuestra personalidad, el arte puro.

Kathia Rudametkin is an experimental music project based on improvisation and ballads intertwined with sounds of nature, resulting in melodies rich in synthetic atmospheres. Her music embodies a departure from the academic approach to electronic composition that she has pursued over the past 10 years. The fusion of her formal music education and electronic music background has enabled her to craft pieces with a distinctive sense of rhythm, editing, and sound design.

The focus of her work revolves around exploring the connection between electronic and acoustic music, as well as between written and improvised forms. Inspired by new sounds and technologies, she engages in the sonic exploration of fauna and flora, seamlessly incorporating field recordings into her compositions.

Her sensitivity as an artist and producer allows her to smoothly blend electronic synthesis and formal music in experiments and compositions that bring to life worlds that are at times beautiful, at other times wild, but always in a state of evolution.
