Morris Audio’s hunt for hot talents brings you Decent Rides, a project from the Bavarian natives Sebastian and Jesko. Being openmindend DJs for many years, Decent Rides intend to develop a sound that reflect their eclectic taste, incorporating hip-hop, jazz, disco and of course house. We are thrilled to have DEMUIR on Selections once again, after his appearance on last year's 'Movement EP' This time he has dropped 'The Persistence Of Hope EP' - and it's exactly what you'd expect from his stellar output. Starting off on the A side is the title track 'The Persistence Of Hope' - a super deep slice of house music with a spoken word repeating "The System" and "Hopeless" over 90's style keys - then at around 3 minutes the punchy bassline drops. Starting out on the flip we get down chi town style with 'Life Is Simple' Shuffling high hats over a spoken word with a killer bassline. Rounding up we have 'Unto Thee' - another prime example of that DEMUIR groove.

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Tiptoes is a time-served DJ/Producer who has been in the game for over 15 years and has performed at a variety of venues worldwide.

As a DJ, Tiptoes plays a bit of everything – from Jazz to Jungle thru Detroit, Disco, Techno, Garage, Broken Beat, Deep House and everything in between, always finding that balance between party rocking energy and tastemaking soul.

As a producer, Tiptoes’ tracks encompass the best elements of the holy trinity – jazz, hip-hop and house. His sound has been described as “a crafted crate digger sound, dusty deep cuts full of feelgood disco energy, rhodes chords, bumpin grooves and classic rawness’’.

Habibi Grooves lands on Lisztomania Records with the awesome Imaginary Friends, along with remixes from three other big hitters.
The original mix sets the scene with a gorgeous, laid back trip-hop vibe, stuffed full of luscious strings, emotive piano riffs and moogy bass that keeps your head nodding throughout.
Up first on remix duties is Onur Ozman with his trademark style of technically infused deep house. A minimal yet flamboyant beat underscores this airy remix, which is bursting with lush pads, filter sweeping synth lines and sparkling strings. Add a funky moog-esque bassline and you’ve got the perfect follow up to the original.
Remix number two sees Chocky Strings Attached bringing a smouldering offering to the release, with swelling string sections, a relentless beat and a brooding bassline, this one is for the afterhours crew!
Finally, we have Guri with a super funky yet undeniably deep remix. Laced with electric piano, strings, 303 and a slick bassline, Guri offers up some pure dance floor material. The perfect end to an awesome release.

Sweden’s favourite house label Local Talk return with a new LP compiled by one of the imprints most beloved artists Crackazat, and he has been given special permission remix and rework a selection of label's back catalogue for their edit's series.

Previous artists who have compiled a reworks album for the series include HNNY, Jacques Renault plus Kyodai, and this is perhaps one of the best yet.

Ben Jacobs better known to music fans as Crackazat, is a young talent originally from Bristol in the UK. Early in his career he was the official warm up act for Floating Points and he shares a similar sound fusing upbeat jazzy chords with house shuffling percussion.

Local Talk have become synonymous with breaking new talent such as HNNY that later goes onto achieve big things, and Crackazat is one such artist who has used the label as a spring board to kick start an accomplished career.

Crackazat has now featured tracks and remixes on other labels including Josh Wink's Ovum, Joey Negro's Z Records and Derrick Carter’s Classic. Early in his career he also released on the infamous Future Boogie, and a number of his Local Talk tracks have been licenced to prestigious compilations compiled by brands like Defected.

Featuring everyone from Terrence Parker to Soulphiction, the Local Talk back catalogue has original music from many of house music’s greatest artists who sit alongside fresh talent such as Jaxx Madicine and Marcel Lune.

Choosing tracks that he either loves of feels he can improve with a bit of careful editing, Crackazat has spent time hand picking a selection of tracks that showcase the Local Talk back catalogue in all its dazzling glory.

For those already familiar with some of the original versions on this release, it’s a fantastic chance to rediscover a classic in a revised format, and for those new to the label prepare to hear some of the best house music out there with strong influences from other genres such as jazz, funk and soul.
