"BOOM SHANKAR PROJECT" is a based in Delhi (India).  Rishabh Shankar on vocals/guitar/saz/sitar with his composition’s which amalgamated with Sufi poetry and mantras with a blend of Turkish, Persian, African and Indian classical influences.  An acoustic guitar which sounds more like east and Middle Eastern sound. 
Our music roots are various forms of Sufi music from across the times with all forms of soulful music like Bhatiali, Baul and Persian. Indian classical and our folk music has always been in our blood and of course rock, jazz n blues because all of us are from a different background of music. In our lyrics we use Hindi and Urdu both and also using the poetry of Sufi poets like “Amir Khusro” and “Bullah Shah, fareed. We are deeply influenced by a “rudrarupa” of “Lord Shiva" which has inspired us to create and identity our unique sound.
