Berlin based DJ Powel is next up on Behrouz’s Do Not Sit on the Furniture
label with five tracks of hugely atmospheric house.
Mixing signature rhythms with fine percussion and real musical and emotival
depth, Powel has become a key player in the globe scene. He’s a resident
with Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream around the world and Do Not Sit on the
Furniture in Miami. He also releases on Sol Selectas and is a real storyteller
as these tracks prove.
Opener Since We’ve Been is a dreamy bit of house with drifting pads passing
by like a warm breeze. Great vocal samples add real heart and ensure this
one radiants real heat. Who Put That Piano in the Jungle is a more tribal and
tropical bit of house with great drums and percussion sounding all steamy and
seductive. The groove runs deep with animal sounds adding to the exotic feel
and great piano lines bringing the melody.
Doorbell Symphony is a smooth deep house groove with subtle pads and
warm chords all fleshing out the rubbery drums. It’s classy and filled with real
emotions before A Record This Quiet picks things up with breezy house vibes.
Great chord stabs and more spring day ambience swirls around as spoken
word samples add feeling and keys drenched in echo are lovably louche and
loose. Last of all, Tuesday Blues sways to and fro with thoughtful pads
encouraging you to cut loose and allow yourself to day dream as you get lost
in the beautiful drums.
This is a tasteful EP of inventive and expressive house music filled with
worldly feelings.

Here, Justified Cause return with the ideal release to take you from spring into those warmer months. Summer Nights is a gorgeous groover from Pablo Bolivar, which will transport you to the middle of July. Pablo Bolivar needs little introduction, as one of Spain?s most prominent figures in electronic music. The Barcelona based producer is one half of the famous Pulshar outfit with Aphro Sainz and he has released albums on labels such as Regular and his own Avantroots label. He is active as a DJ and regularly spins internationally, as well as performing live alone and with Sainz as Pulshar. The original version of Summer features warm synth play, pointed percussion and shining keys. Diynamic recording artist Piek?s remix features blissful chords, a bubbling bassline and vocal mirages. Aiby &amp; The Noise sees Barcelona based DJ International Bitch team up and bring us a remix that lets melodic keys have their say over bass tremors and synth hits. Label boss GarcyNoise?s remix is a rhythmic affair, with complex percussion patterns and synth rushes.   Embrace the summer; it?s already here for your listening pleasure!

After their last successful vinyl EP "Amazeballs", The Cheapers digitally spin it again. 

No pounding beats are hiding behind the big headline "Hammer Time", more the familiar scurrile house sound that Fraenzen Texas and his buddy Ruede Hagelstein have screwed together. 

Furthermore: the title track "Hammer Time" is a collaboration with their British friend and movie maker Siuol Poetry, who also made their latest video "To Late" on Bar25 Records. In this case he added discreet rap-lyrics which give the track a slight hip-hop charm. 

"Every July" then grooves on 120 bpm in epic length- partially crowned by a lovely string ensemble. Last but not least a remix by dOP who took The Cheapers all time hit "Hey Victor" to task, ensouling it by adding new vocals and instruments.
