Another month, Another release! We're not slowing down at all this year, this month we bring you a legend in the game bringing us his first EP with us, Moony. Moony is without doubt a legend in the underground music scene and has had support from the likes of DJ EZ on his boiler room sets to Todd Edwards, DJ Q, Jamie Duggan and many many more. We're delighted to bring him on board for this EP.

To start off the EP here's a summary of what each track is and what vibes we got!

Burning Fire - For the self entitled track for the EP, Moony has come with straight fire! Bringing a massive 4x4 Todd Edwards style beat with the chopped up vocals, a sweet melody and banging bassline behind it, you can use this for any type of set whether radio or clubs its a real club banger for the ages we think!
Ice Cream - Some slightly differing flavours from moony but a very unique track, a dark jackin house style song with a very catchy melody and a 4 to the floor beat, this one will take you back to the 2014/15 ways and get the crowd moving easy.
It is - Moving into original Moony territory, we bring you a 2-Step 140bpm slammer, simplistic vocal chops with more basslines for the eardums, you already know this ones a big heater for the sets and will hear the sub throughout the sound system.
Obsession - Finishing off the EP with this bouncy 4 to the floor banger which has been supported across the airwaves recently, another classic style 2014/15 jackin house style bass with a garage twist at 137bpm. A pure rave slammer which is primed and ready for the clubs!

Downplay is proud to welcome back Scunthorpe producer Deadly Habitz to the label with his brand new release, ‘On Your Mind’.

‘On Your Mind’ sets out it’s template early with a crisp 2-step introduction and soulful vocal snippets, before mutating into a seriously spicy bass-heavy bubbler that sits in the sweet spot between dark vibes and danceable energy.

‘Joy’ hits the ground running with an uptempo 4x4 rhythm that recollects the golden era of bassline, complete with saccharine vocal samples, melodic topline and killer bass stabs to really get the crowd jumping.

‘Feelings’ takes things down a notch or two for a more relaxed UKG mood, infusing it’s shuffling percussion with a jazz flavour and sprightly piano keys to set the tone. Subtle vocal FX and a mellow bassline seal the deal for a more contemplative track that warms your soul.
