"Over a year after the release of the absolute SMASH HIT “Illegal Edits” from DJ CDQ, he’s back for more. Delivering four tracks of weighty bootlegs, this one’s not for the faint of heart. In true CDQ fashion, these tracks are crisp, well made, and full of that “OOOOOSH” energy that comes with a wikid bootleg.

Track 2 on the EP, “JACK” samples the classic Breach track that we all know and love, bringing the electro/2 step fusion with enough bounce to qualify for trampolining in the bloomin olympics! This one’s been knocking about on the stick for a while, so we’re unbelievably gassed to finally be able to bring it to you a lot."

From funky two-step to driving breaks, wonky bassline to happy hardcore; Ghoulish can do it all. 

Over the past year, the young producer and DJ has demonstrated his talent for channelling bassy UK flavours into his own productions which have had support from the likes of Riz La Teef, Bakey and Frazer Ray. A marvelled string of self-releases has highlighted his ability to sit amongst some of the most prominent names in the scene. 

On Sight is a solid example of how Ghoulish’s ability allows him to think outside of a standard structure and delve deep into broken rhythms and swinging percussion. Punchy basslines and whaling sirens are guaranteed to energise any raver on the dancefloor. Complex arrangements combine chaotic percussive patterns with vocal jitters and fine sample work, once again showcasing this prodigy’s talent. 

Firmly cementing himself as an integral part of the UK bass scene, On Sight is a step forward for Ghoulish as he climbs the ranks as one of the most talented artists in the game.

Steppers Club co-founder Minista unleashes this killer 2-tracker titled ‘The Duduk’ , featuring Bristol based RWB on the remix. The EP drops on Friday 18th of November.

Minista builds on the momentum from his latest release ‘Feel It’ (a 3-track EP featuring label-mate Zefer and rising prospect DXNBY) to showcase a darker and more energetic side to his production.

‘The Duduk’ explores the creative potential of 2-Step Garage, through integrating middle-eastern instrumentation with raw and original samples from the old-school Garage era. Through stripped-back drum patterns and punchy bass stabs, the title track ‘The Duduk’ poses as a dynamic underground heater to target the clubs.

RWB offers his own take on the track, providing an energetic head-spinning remix. Through his tactical vocal sampling of ‘A Tribe Called Quest - 1nce Again’ and aggressive bass melodies, RWB takes ‘The Duduk’ to an even darker level. The two tracks amalgamate together perfectly to cement itself as an essential asset for the DJs.

Since his last broken-beat release ‘Bubblin’ in September 2021, Minista has grown from strength to strength, exploring the House and Minimal scene whilst growing his own record label and events company in this space (Satori London). This has contributed towards a flush of bookings at some prestigious UK venues including; 93 Feet East, EGG London, XOYO, Basing House and the o2 Academy Leicester.

Remixer RWB is also progressing into the events space, supporting industry leaders Higgo, MPH and Oppidan to become a highly sought after DJ in Bristol as well as other major UK cities. He poses as a fresh face on the New UK-Garage (NUKG) scene, receiving substantial support since his breakthrough from the likes of Main Phase and A for Alpha. One to keep an eye on on the near future.
