"I have been mixing music for ten years now and since then, I have ventured to many specific genres like techno, deep house or psychedelic chillout and then I come back again, to the basics. This mix is my basics, probably the most favourite way, how to mix. It is an eclectic blend of electronic music for a focused listening. Most of my mixes are rather emotional and often resemble a soundtrack to a movie. There are soft and quiet passages mixed with more intense ones. I tried to avoid the very extremes for this podcast, which I do not always do, but I wanted to adjust a little bit to the format of the RuheCast show. On the other hand, I have introduced a feature at some places, which I tend to enjoy recently a lot, and that is mixing three tracks together and also, sometimes to mix tracks with totally different rhythm or slightly detuned melodies, which sometimes produces abstract and organic results. I think that one reason why people like music is that it mimics the sense of meaning, especially the music which is rhythmic, music which has clear distinct patterns, in tune, music which is kind of predictable. This mix is the far from that and it is on purpose. It challenges predictability, enjoys movement and change. Yet still, I am finding a lot of meaning in it and I invite you to excavate your own meaning out of it. There is a thin edge between something meaningful and total chaos. Last but not least, there is one theme, which penetrates my life and music very intensely recently and that is the felt living presence of what I like to call the Other. People call it different things, but I call it this way, because I do not know any better way to call it. It is beyond big, beyond space, beyond time and beyond human, yet we are all little parts of it. Longing for the big something, slowly moving towards it, looking for the final solution and yet, we are It already. What a joke?! Living patterns playing hide and seek... I devote this mix to the Other, not because the Other would care, but because it is his creation anyway, just another temporary pattern. :)"
