Ushered in with gentle pads and a steady beat, Pressure, from Scotland’s own Cryonic Dreams is a deep one, meditative and dream like. When the sub comes fully in it carries the track, keeping things deep as the beautiful FX and bongo’s highlight the groove in all the right places. Things break down in the middle for the introduction of a nice shifting growl which goes on to weave around the beat, accentuating it and adding more depth to this great track.

Pressure by Cryonic Dreams [Free Download]

Derelict, the word alone conjures images in your mind and that is exactly what English producer RefraQ does with this track. It opens with a tender, sparse melody which is joined with some percussion and FX before hitting home beautifully with high twinkling and flowing sounds and a smooth beat. The gorgeous melodies continue throughout, providing the backbone of the piece. The middle section is full of lots of great sounds all combined subtly, all leading to the drop in which the energy picks up while still being chilled, beautiful and inventive and stays like this until the end. I personally fell in love eith this track when I first heard it and I’m sure some of you will too.

Glorifan Ishtar, from UK born, Ibiza based producer Kai Li opens with lovely rhythmic chanting and ethnic percussion, progressing and getting more intricate as the track moves forward. Deep and meditative, the beat rolls on continuing to change, break a little then progress once more. The atmosphere throughout is fantastic and everything within is executed finely. Deep, dark, atmospheric and rhythmic – what’s not to love?

Glorafin Ishtar by Kai Li [Free Download]

US producer (as well as 4D blog-man alongside MAKZ and Drooka) and all round nice guy Echomaker brings us our fifth free download with his track Yakuza, a track with a little bit of everything nice – swagger, a dark atmosphere, growling bass, cool sampling and funky beat and percussion work. All connected by great eastern instrumentation (not sure what exactly, Pipas or something similar) playing melodies that highlight and add new rhythms and depth to the track. All in a great, brooding yet danceable track definitely befitting the title of Yakuza.

Yakuza by Echomaker [Free Download]

Continuing with our free downloads, this track – Subliminal Space – comes from Canadian producer BOA. Proceedings begin with lush chords and FX paving the way for the drums, before everything comes in fully. A mix of well-placed lows and uplifting high leads and arps all adding to the overall upbeat, yet gentle track. The drops, if they can be called that, are great, steady and progressive – absolutely ideal for the track. Throughout the track the percussion helps to ferry the bass along, adding layers either with hats, or crisp bongos. Finally this track ends with something we at RR love, a great outro, yet again, like the intro and break, executed finely. I love this track and I’m sure you guys will too, it’s deep, gorgeous and easy to lose yourself in.

Subliminal Space By Wero

Wanna go for a ride? Well buckle up because Italian producer Red Cheeks is taking you for a ride, a dark, rolling ride. The track builds slowly at first, atmospheric, and is added to with stabs and samples, preparing you for the drop. When it drops it comes with rhythm, an industrial vibe and spot on percussion hitting all the right places, interlaced with lovely mid stabs, rhythmic changes and other cool sounds all working together creating that great rolling feel. A short break prepares you for the switch that comes with the next drop, more minimal at parts but with all the same swagger and menace. Enjoy the ride.

Go For A Ride by Red Cheeks [Free download]

Rebirth – from Netherlands based producer Hyse - opens with gorgeous swelling pads playing a gorgeous melody, delicately joined by percussion and sax. When the beat drops it comes in with a nice pattern and lovely percussion, ringing out and adding to the overall chilled vibe, with lots of subtle sub movement to boot. Throughout, bongos are added, the beat is added to and the pace picks up all the while maintaining that vibe. Things break down nicely for the middle section before the second drop which is filled with more peculiar rhythms and movements. The melodies change too, adding depth and a little bit of a fantasy vibe accompanied by some dub-esque delayses. All in all a great track with a great vibe.

Rebirth by Hyse [Free download]

Vibesss – via Italian producer D_Noize – starts off with shuffling, scattering percussion, and deep and swirling synths. Elements are added until the sub drops and the trippy nature of this track shines through. All the panning, shifting and phasing, along with those choppy beats and Saxophone sounds creates a vibe all of its own. The second drop ramps up the weird factor with more bad-trip inducing effects, FX and funky drum work. And then, like all good trips, it gradually comes to a close, dropping away elements until the end. Vibesss indeed!

Cyprus based English producer Drench brings us Mysterious Disappearances, a subtle, magical track, full of melodies and synthesis reminiscent of fantasy movie soundtracks and scores. The intro teases you with a little glimpse of the sounds to come and when they do arrive they bring an atmosphere with them that easily justifies the title of Mysterious Disappearances. The melodies continue and evolve throughout until the break where they fade out and swirl around providing contrast for the upcoming section which continues the vibe. More floating melodies, more rhythms and more interesting beats take this track to its end.

Mysterious Disappearances by Drench [Free download]

Juju Magic, from Germany, brings us our latest RR free DL. It opens with a slightly menacing melody, joined by percussion and dark samples, pleading for you to help. More elements are added as the tension builds before dropping and going full on with the menacing vibe. Dark is the flavour of the day, a pulsing sub, swirling effects, bass and melodies all adding to that vibe.  Great bass rhythms, sample placement and well placed breaks carry it onwards. From here the track evolves and changes, breaking down, returning to the familiar and generally toying with you.

The Locked room, from American producer Sobie, opens with a mysterious melody and a scattering of perc hits and FX. Joined by a steady kick pattern the intro evolves, expands and ultimately prepares you for the upcoming drop superbly. When it drops, it drops away the melodious instruments but keeps the pace and movement with tasty mid bass sounds, percs and lots of varying FX. Samples add narrative in the middle section before it drops once more.  This time more complex, more bass, more movement, more of everything that makes this track so good. More narrative takes the track to it eventual close, rounding off with a lovely fade out of delays.
