Neptunian Influence, Fifty-Seven | Featuring @unboundevents

DJ Winggold is one of the key minds behind Unbound Events, a London-based events platform using underground music as a vehicle to elevate minorities and raise awareness of social issues. An artist, writer, radio host, mental health advocate and regular contributor to panel discussions, he draws inspiration from Afrofuturism to guide his creative pursuits, focusing on the intersection between race, identity, history and culture. 

On April 15, DJ Winggold will take part as both a speaker and DJ in a panel discussion on race and class within the electronic music scene hosted by Dialogue & Cabin Fever, two very inclusive London parties. Raising funds for the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, the panel also features NIKS and will take place at Ormside Projects.

After debuting at them in 2022, DJ Winggold will be returning to Kallida Festival, Headroom and Field Maneuvers, three very special UK-based festivals.

In mistrust and blindness mankind wages a COLD WAR, East against West in a spiraling cycle of mindless escalation. Having transcended his mortal condition, he is now deemed ready to meet THE ELOHIM, a race of super-evolved aliens who created mankind 40000 years ago and have been watching and waiting ever since for the day when man at last becomes enlightened. They descend from the heavens in their storship telling Future Man to rejoice, for the trials of mankind are over and they sing to him of their long wait and THE GOLDEN AGE which is about to begin. Future Mom and the Clones are taken on board the spacecraft whereupon the Elohim transport them through the STAR GATE to a planet paradise where they are able to live in peace and happiness and once again become prosperous and many.

Based in NYC, and with a background as a DJ, writer, and event organizer, Lychee's (@lycheefrut) underground energy is evident in every set they craft. With regular appearances at Basement, Nowadays, and Bossa Nova Civic Club, Lychee also runs Spontaneous Affinity, a monthly mix and interview series and occasional event platform, and the label Unimatrix Zero, as well as serving on the board for the Aslice Foundation.

Drawing inspiration from recent musical explorations at Nowadays in NYC in particular, Lychee's Patterns of Perception 116 showcases a return to their musical foundations in hypnotic, dubby, wormholey techno. Embracing a more focused, classic feel than many of their recent dancefloor explorations, this mix infuses a sense of narrative and evolution, effortlessly blending darkness and light, corporeality and sentimentality.

"Young collective founded in 2016 by Nikita Villeneuve, taking as a basis black metal music, anonymous aesthetics and mixed it with melancholy for the 00s and 90s in Russia. And there it was, a true Raw Russian – raw, anonymous, messy and uncertain of the end.

Most of Raw Russian artists are unknown. And at this point they can give a glimpse of the hidden depths of Russian-made house music without any borders: ages, names, faces and all the stuff that can only prevent the listener to see the main. Music.

Raw Russian is more than just a label. It’s a society, a small world where people find something personal and take ownership of that concept. Raw Russian is not only about raw itself, but is about having it at heart. You could say it’s a kind of post-modern take on some perfect ruins. A new cult, where people unite 2 things: their vision concerning modern music, (not only what we have on MTV) and their feelings about the new world, including Russia nowadays."
