France based chamber duo Snowdrops return with their final release of 2021. Arguably their most adventurous and experimental release to date, ‘Inner Fires’ features four tracks of Ondes Martenot, piano, synths and tubular bells with Richard Knox (A-Sun Amissa) featuring on electric guitar on the closing track.

« Inner Fires is an anticipation disc in four chapters, a sort of cinematographic dramaturgy presenting four instrumental pieces that tell us about collective loneliness and underground collectives, sleepy thoughts and sudden awakenings. The resignation of each, the courage of some. It speaks of introspections and expressions. Of the slow disappearance of our beings from our world, and of the intense fight to bring them back to life. On the edge of the precipice. Like a cry of alarm. So as not to become a society of specters. »

A 2xLP vinyl compilation containing undisclosed original recordings of pearl divers and inspired modern-day compositions by artists like Tomaga, YPY, Aya Metwalli, Joakim, Tarek Yamani or Hieroglyphic Being.

A 240 pages art book (Arabic – English) featuring the contributions from artist, writers and experts in this tremendously rich theme such as Monira al Qadiri, Talin Hazbar, Toufik Kerbage or Talal Mattar.

'Meet Me in Beirut' is Hadi Zeidan's 4th solo album.
Featuring eight tracks and a bonus cut, the album is a musical examination of scenes lived or imagined by the artist in his home city Beirut.

Compositions span from kraut-inspired patterns to garage rock, bellydance noise and a synth maqam solo, in a quest to emancipate Zeidan's work from the normative genres.

This is a mixtape of beats I compulsively wrote over a period of 2 weeks to fight a creative block working on a drone EP (there’s more tracks that didn’t make it on this one and the EP is ready)

It includes collected field recordings over a period of 2 years(e.g a neighbor that blasted “Indian?” music from across a river every evening early summer 2021, a traffic jam on the Saida corniche, a random conversation with a friend about using a device to record his piano jams…) a bootleg of Sheikha Rmitti’s “N’ta Goudami” and an excerpt from an interview with Nahla Chahal talking about the never ending struggle of life.

Context: This is sacred music of the cult of Ryangombe, a legendary hero whose adherents had to undergo initiation rites. Here, a group of men sing of the Umuhara – spirits – in a song that was never performed outside of its ritual context so as not to risk the wrath of the spirits.
