Tel Aviv-based DJ/producer Juan Yarin arrives on Guy Gerber’s Rumors with ‘Venice Beach EP’ this August.

Resident DJ at Tel Aviv’s Monochrome events Juan Yarin has previously released on Spain’s Ride Music with a pair of well-received EPs. Here though, Yarin delivers three shimmering originals for Guy Gerber’s Rumors imprint, producing some of his most accomplished works to date for his first appearance on the label.

Title track ‘Venice Beach’ leads the release with buoyant drums, dream-like synths, and ghostly vocals swirling together for a profound and moving piece. ‘View In Jaffa’ follows, utilising delicate percussion, airy pads, and a hypnotic bassline to craft a track destined for sublime, eyes-closed moments on the dance floor. ‘Fighting Crime’ ups the tempo, bringing a sharper sound palette to the table through twisting arpeggios and rattling drum machines, topped with subtle dubby FX to bring the EP to a satisfying close.

Returning to his Rumors imprint following the recently released ‘Rainchecks In Montreal’ in April, Guy Gerber delivers ‘Bocat’, a two track EP of the artist’s trademark intricate and expressive musicianship.

Teaming up with singer/songwriter Albertina for the enchanting title track, the duo combines guitar licks, shuffling percussion, and subtle synth lines with Albertina’s sublime vocal performance. On the flip, ‘Polaris’ sees Gerber take the wheels solo, drawing upon his years of expertise to craft a deep and moving piece complete with twinkling arps, deep low-end, and piano work.

Returning to his Rumors imprint after the recently released ‘Bocat’ in collaboration with Albertina in November 2021, Guy Gerber delivers his latest missive, ‘Pyramid of the Moon’. Offering up a solo two-track EP, the enigmatic DJ/producer drops two delicately crafted house tracks featuring Gerber’s own guitar playing.

The title track ‘Pyramid Of The Moon’ sees Gerber play with chugging low end, twinkling keys and warping guitar licks, crafting a hypnotic atmosphere throughout the track’s duration. On the flip, ‘The Untold Glory of Mister Nobody’ pairs upfront drums with further guitar chords and airy synths, fusing to create an emotionally climactic slice of Balearic bliss.

Juan Yarin is next up on the Rumors with his Lovefool EP, which comes with a remix from label head Guy Gerber, completing a standout package.

Juan Yarin is a core part of the Rumors family and a regular at the label's Ibiza party. He has released his emotive brand of deep house here before, such as with last year's Venice Beach EP, and impresses once more this time out.

Lovefool opens up with spine-tingling piano chords draped over soft, deep house drums. A tender vocal completes the most majestic groove. Lovefool (Guy Gerber Remix) is a stylish tweak with the piano chords left in place and the drums given a little extra bite. The whole thing sinks you into a reverie and makes for truly beautiful listening. Paradiso then picks up the pace with a more upright house sound this time with low-slung bass and icy hi hats adding detail next to the elegant synth craft. Lina closes down with some heady, hypotonic house that is filled with late-night atmosphere and swirling cosmic keys.

"I'm proud to announce my new EP "LOVEFOOL" says Juan. Before its release date "LOVEFOOL" has already been played by known artists such as KEINEMUSIK at BURNING MAN 2022, and even received a special remix version by GUY GERBER to be released along with the EP. The release will be promoted on a live European tour coming up soon."

Saraga heads Around The Sun on this escapist new EP for Guy Gerber's revered Rumors label. Saraga is an artist based in Tel Aviv and who releases on esteemed labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Robsoul Recordings, Nervous & Body Parts. He has a well crafted and emotive sound rich in lush synth work. 

Clarity In Motion opens with thinking synth modulations and a heartfelt female vocal. The drums are warm and lock you in for a sublime ride. Around The Sun (Run It) brings an immersive vocal over deep house drums. The track is playful, with steamy lyrics and a smattering of percussion next to smeared, expansive cosmic pads. On Sin City, things take a darker tech house twist with snappy drums and hits and a monologue adding tension. Los Ojos Azules closes out with something of a humid Latin vibe - the drums roll, the percussion is characterful and vocals tease and please. 

These are four hugely original tracks from this ever more essential artist.

The Girl Next Door is a steamy house cut with rich layers of percussion and seductive vocals layered on top. The drums are warm and the groove dynamic and ever-evolving. It's the sort of track that will stand out in any set.

Underground mainstay Guy Gerber is back on his own Rumors label with new EP Leave It On. Across three tracks he showcases his famously emotive and melodic house sounds. 

Gerber has been a core part of the underground for years, headlining the world's most revered clubs and festivals, collaborating with P. Diddy, bringing all new party concepts to Ibiza, and serving up serene and synth heavy soundscapes that move people physically and emotionally on labels like Cocoon, Italians Do It Better and Rumors. 

This one kicks off with the lush deep house elegance of 'Leave It On' with its languid bass and live sounding drums. Swirling pads and atmospheric vocals bring a romantic feel to this late night jam. 'Leave Me' then picks up the pace with more percussive but still smooth grooves, this time doused in sweeping chords that bring sunshine and soul. 'Jupiter Blues' closes out with a cosmic exploration, the gently tinkling keys shining like stars as warm, rubbery drums carry you onwards and upwards.

Guy Gerber's Rumors label welcomes Nick Morgan for a pair of sublime new sounds. 

Nick Morgan is a Canadian born electronic music producer and DJ known for pushing the boundaries of the electronic genre.  When he is not touring the globe, Nick has kept a presence in Mykonos for the past 5 years with his Sunday night residency at the world renowned “Moni”.  As a producer, Nick has created a plethora of remix’s and edits that have received critical acclaim from some of the biggest names in the underground scene.  His latest release “Shook Pt. 3” quickly became a crowd favorite in the summer 2023 season, earning him the attention and admiration of music lovers and industry professionals alike. With a string of recent releases on the horizon, Nick is beginning to cement his unique sound in the electronic dance world.  

Bass Bousa is a mid tempo deep house excursion lit up with fantastically expressive synths and melodies that ring out with real soul. They bring worldly charm to the persuasive grooves and really cast a spell. Says Nick of the track, “I have always been fascinated with the rhythms and melodies of Arabic music. I wanted to blend the rich musical heritage of the Middle East with my electronic sound.”

Want You started as a voice note sketch and is a more stripped back and minimal rhythm to start with. Ghostly vocal sounds and slick percussive patterns pepper the groove which never lets up and eventually gets coloured with some superb Middle Eastern melodic colour.

Just over a year since its launch, Guy Gerber's RUMORS imprint continues to blend the world of music and art with a series of highly sought after releases and events. Following on from Guy & Puff Daddy’s remix EP of their stand out album track; ’Tourist Trap’, RUMORS welcomes Seth Troxler to the label with his debut, 'Evangelion'.

Scheduled for release on March 30th, 'Evangelion' follows Troxler's recent collaboration with Phil Moffa for their 'Rogue Music' EP, and also features a remix from Matt Jonson & Jesse Heartthrob - marking the label's sixth offering.
