Runaround Kids return with their third and final single of 2012. This spilt cassingle with The Spills follows on from the 12" split EP with We Are Losers in July and the 'You'd Feel The Same' T-shirt single in April. It is also marks the relaunch of the Bitching Cassettes Label with the first release since it's acquisition by Philophobia Music. What better way to relaunch than with two of the flagship bands on the parent label.

Bitching Cassettes was initially launched in the mid-noughties by Jamie Lockhart (Mi Mye) and Johnny White (The Rollercoaster Project / Fairewell). However, since the release of the split cassingle by Mi Mye and The Rollercoaster Project the label has laid dormant until now. Plans are to release 2 or 3 split cassingles a year, each limited to 100 copies.

The label is relaunched strongly with great contributions from both Runaround Kids and The Spills. Runaround Kids offer up 'Into The Light'. Recently debuted live at Beacons Festival and instantly sounded like a live favourite. The most direct and punchiest track of this series marrying the melody of 'Drinking History' and inventive playfulness of 'You'd Feel The Same'. It seems set to continue the success of the series which has seen Runaround Kids pick up repeated plays on XFM and Amazing Radio.

'Atomic Arabian Facebuster' is The Spills first release since their acclaimed 2011 debut album 'Occam's Razor'. The album was voted Album of the Week by The Tidal Wave Of Indifference and Album of the Year by Croon Music. They also picked up repeated plays on XFM, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing for 'Summer Vibes', 'Jury's Out', 'Heat Death Of The Universe' and 'Oh Say Do'. The Spills have spent the majority of this year quietly working on the follow up which will surface next year on Philophobia Music.

Runaround Kids are a Wakefield band consisting of George Garthwaite (guitar, vocals), Jack Winn (bass, vocals) and Rob Burnell (drums).
 
2012 saw them release an ambitious series of singles, compiling them all with 'Teeth Blue, Lips Red' in December. This series has seen them constantly touring and recording; they have completed their first Irish tour with labelmates We Are Losers, played at Dot To Dot, Long Division and Beacons festivals, and received airplay from XFM and Amazing Radio.
 
In August 2011 they released their debut album ‘Linked Arms’ to critical acclaim. Drowned In Sound praised it as “A noisy, assertive piece of work… energetic bursts all sharing infiltrating melodies and a fuzzy lo-fi aesthetic. (An) excellent debut album”, whilst Vibrations have declared them “One of The UK’s most promising acts”. The album led to them being playlisted on Amazing Radio as well as numerous plays on BBC 6Music, Radio 1 (including being named Huw Stephens’ ‘Tip Of The Week’) and XFM. 

In 2010 Runaround Kids played Leeds and Reading Festivals. In 2011 they returned to Leeds Festival on special request of Leeds label Dance To The Radio. The band are now regulars at festivals, having played at Dot To Dot, Constellations, Beacons, Long Division, Live At Leeds, Tramlines and Eurocultured, whilst also supporting artists such as Lee Ranaldo, Jeffrey Lewis, Pulled Apart By Horses, Johnny Foreigner, Dinosaur Pileup and Shrag.
