Field recordings from a journey to Albania, 2014. Listen to muezzin sounds. 1. in the bay of Saranda, in the south of the country. 2.  a weird mix of a muezzin, wedding music, rain and a baby. The sounds were floating over the old town of Gjirokastra, listening it from the surrounding hills.

It is the most beautiful version of Marina on the street I have ever heard. It was played by an old man. He had to take long breaks between the tones to breath and to have power for the next tones. It is grooving and passionate and simply beautiful.
I recorded this in the town of Würzburg in Lower Franconia in Germany.

Die obere Zahnreihe, die komplett aus Goldzähnen besteht, funkelt und glitzert jedem entgegen, der sich ihrem Lächeln nicht entziehen kann. Ihre Violine jault unentwegt "Jingle Bells". In den umliegenden "Latte macchiato"-Bars gibt es Sonntagsbrunch im Kerzenschein. Manchmal, da trifft ein Goldzahn-Funke die beobachtenden Blicke hinter der Fensterscheibe, ehe sie sich einem neuen Teller Lachs mit Dillsoße widmen.
