Relaxer at Dripping 2023

DJ and producer based in Kyoto, Japan, G Version III began performing in 2022. That year, she created a mix of her own music featuring I Jahbar from Jamaican dancehall collective Duppy Gun for an NTS show. In 2024, she released her debut album cassette on US dub label Digital Sting, blending new roots and dub with late 90s/early 00s R&B, dark trap, and Memphis horrorcore elements.

I've thought about doing another edition of hsm for a while now, although was never really in the right headspace to capture a similar energy to the first. 

Himera's "Keep Me Safe" caught me just at the right moment and was the initial inspiration :)

Hard to put into words how much these cheesy-scented tunes make me melt. I’ll let you imagine instead: I could be in an empty sad room but as soon as I would hear this synthy delicious mix… I’d immediately be transported to my 1983 discothèque – curly hair and glitter on my face – swaying my way across the smoky dance floor to join my crush under the disco ball.
