Producer Mario Matakovic has crafted two masterful creations with rich analog sounds, groovy beats, mystical gated voices, and hypnotic melodic flavours, both at the spacious tempo of 125 bpm. Vibrant Colours is a massive 10-minute track featuring a blend of atonal patterns and squelchy analog figurations revolving around a mesmerizing harmonic riff with a distinctively old-school Goa flavour. Vibrant Shades showcases variations on these elements with some more emphasis on the gated voices and analog loops, punctuated by a deep kick and oscillating patterns.

Matsuri Digital is delighted to announce the release of a full-length compilation curated by DJ Solitare entitled Beyond Expectation.

Beyond Expectation features nine brilliant tracks in a range of styles, tempo, and character that reflect some of the variety of music commonly heard at the Goa-style parties of the 90s.

The title is inspired by a common quality of those early events: those attending didn’t fully know what to expect at a party but recognized that the unfamiliar and unanticipated would provide a musical voyage through experience and consciousness. It wasn’t always clear how a track would develop or what would follow it, but everyone was there for the journey.

Beyond Expectation contains nine cutting-edge psychedelic tracks by international producers, with artists active since the formative years of the Goa Trance scene thirty years ago alongside others who have come on the scene at various times over the last two decades: Opale, M-Run, Spindrift, Hypnoxock, TMC, Crop Circles, Funky Gong, Tao & Naga, and Rigel. The array of sounds, harmonic and melodic content, moods, and storylines make this release a full-spectrum voyage through psychedelic soundscapes of innovative electronic dance music.

Svemirski Hod (translated as Spacewalk) is a true trance-dance soundtrack to all celestial worshippers out there, an ode to honest psychedelic trance souls, and an unstoppable Goa liberation train on its jubilee 50th station now. This year M-Run is celebrating 20 years of production and behind it is the Croatian electronic music producer Mario Matakovic. For this special occasion in this mix he brings you tribute remixes from the artists that inspired him to start making this type of sound 20 years ago. He Remixed artists like X-Dream, Etnica, Slinky Wizard, Mfg, Ux, Astral Projection, Miranda, Power Source and more. Having a broad interest in music and sound Mario brings you his unique signature as an eclectic producer. By doing production and mastering in various genres trough the years like psy trance, techno, electro, house and minimal he worked with lots of different labels and artists. Cronomi records is very proud to present the second goa trance album by Croatian maestro Mario Matakovic aka M-Run! This time, he brings you a unique concept of 8 live studio sessions:

'Because of the type of venues I'm playing on and the nature of M-Run music won't always allow for a full live performance, I wanted to give insight into how the music is created at the studio. Playing a live arrangement in one take with two hands constraining myself to get a coherent whole was a challenge and pretty much defined the sound of the album. Raw synths and raw performace. Tracks were prepared, rehearsed, sequenced and mixed with Ableton live, recorded on a stereo channel and mastered at the Moods Studio. All sessions had a different hardware setup. There's a cup of coffee on the table to keep me focused and energized. The Magic Mug! A trigger gateway between two realities. It stirs internal exploration like lucid dreaming to walk between worlds.'
