Winter Solstice

The title is programmatic so to speak. Picture a person whose deeply entangled in memories of a distant and, maybe happier, past and is woefully pondering the twists and turns life has taken since then.
I like to imagine that still there is some hope in it, some acceptance, as the soaring violins tower over the restless orchestra and hustling piano.

The music is solely made with VSTs made by 8dio:

‘Pianoforte’ features a Fazioli F212 sampled to utmost realism using multiple microphone positions - including Ambisonics microphones, in order to capture the pure sweetness and rich harmonic body only Fazioli can deliver.

After recording the Piano’s sonic emissions from every corner possible, we decided to push the limits we set with ‘The Upright’, and decided to work independently on the Stereo and Ambisonics versions. This time, while part of our time dedicated their time to prepare independent Microphone Positions and Mixes (for Stereo), the other part of the team focused on creating custom Ambisonics mixes that will help you feel the richness of the Piano from several angles.

This means that whether you decide to work on Stereo or Multichannel Arrays, ‘Pianoforte’ will always surprise you with a unique opportunity to fit the glorious sound of this Fazioli on your mix.

We invite you not only to play a Piano anymore, but to feel and live the Piano through your music with with beautiful result of perfect craftsmanship.

For this demo I used solely Pianoforte, the flagship Fazioli Grand library by library developer Audiobrewers.
Beside the obvious piano patch of a fine Fazioli grand piano, the library comes with a wide range of sound design patches, pads and synth-like sounds, all derived from the original samples.
This demo proves how you can easily create a whole track using this library only.
