The song features Guyanese dance hall/ Social Commentary act Kwasi Ace who adds his bit about the 'love phenomenon' occurring throughout the number while maintaining the sunshine theme. Also featured on the song's <extended version> is former Ms United Kingdom 2013 & Actress Kirsty Heslewood who opens and closes  as The Beats Music Online Radio announcer her intro will be included in the visual release which is scheduled to be out by August.

'You Don't Own Me'  Hip pop/Jazz fusion was written by Ruqayyah when she was just 21 years of age, produced by Kendabeatmaker

"At the time when the original version of YOU DON'T OWN ME was done there was a rise in a feminist movement. I penned this interpretive original as both a tribute to the late Lesley Gore who died on March 17th 2015 and as an anthem that would hopefully empower my fellow country women suffering from domestic violence". 
Gore recorded the 1963 original soundtrack which was then produced by Quincy Jones at just age 17.
 "She stood for something much bigger than herself and it is my hope that my interpretation gives new meaning and empowers a movement in my beloved country Guyana for those hurting from the pains of gender based violence. I hope you find the courage to break free and reclaim your lives once more"

Many versions of You Don't Own Me have been recorded since, the most recent being the Grace Memo version which was recently featured in the third trailer for the 2016 film "Suicide Squad"
