This is my set from Saturday 4th June where I played trance classics in the residents room, all the tracks played represent a certain time in my 18yr history with the club that has given me so many amazing nights not only as a clubber but as time as a resident DJ.

It is no wonder that Russell G has featured at various venues around the world representing brands including Godskitchen, Global Gathering and Sander Van Doorn’s ‘Dusk Til Doorn’, all entrusting Russell to deliver his uplifting and energetic sound to their audiences.

Russell’s big breakthrough came from the mighty Godskitchen where he made his debut at Godskitchen’s Global Gathering on their flagship Boombox stage alongside Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz & Sasha.

It’s not just Russell’s DJ’ing that has seen him earn acclaim. Russell has been behind many underground anthems and his eclectic style as seen him release on a wide range of labels. ‘The Real Life’ on Spinnin, ‘3AM’ & ‘Solstice’ on Armada, ‘Free For All’, ‘Rush’ & Russell’s collab with Marco V ‘Kalevala’ on Marco’s own In Charge imprint saw Beatport success.

2014 saw Russell revisit his very early musical influences with the result being his music developing a trancier edge with great success to date with the highlight being Russell reaching #4 in the Beatport Trance Top 100 chart with his cover of ‘Cafe Del Mar’ whilst tracks ‘Mantra’ & ‘Shimmer’ also charted highly. Russell has enjoyed support in 2014 from artists including Gareth Emery, Max Graham, Ferry Corsten & Lange to name but a few.

2015 has continued in the same way 2014 finished as his single ‘Skala’ has been signed to Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit Records, his track ‘Fiji’ being supported by Armin on his ASOT show and his remix of Paul Oakenfold ‘Hold That Sucker Down’ seeing a release Perfecto.

Russell is also the driving force behind the growing ‘Music Matters Recordings’ imprint, the label is a true reflection of the music he loves whilst striving to give artists a platform to showcase their talents, the label continues to go from strength to strength which is reflected in Beatport chart positions and support from Above & Beyond, Gai Barone, M.I.K.E & more.
