Siamo nell' area di un grande cimitero cristiano che si sviluppa in questa zona vicino alle mura settentrionali di Albintimilium a partire dal quinto e sesto secolo dopo Cristo. Estremamente esteso con sepolture di tipo diverso e con al centro dieci grandi sarcofagi in pietra che per quel periodo, quando Ventimiglia era un presidio Bizantino, costituivano le tipologie tombali piu' importanti di quella che possiamo definire la upper class della citta' di allora

SETACCIATURA

Setacciatura di terreno con la ricerca di cocci e di frammenti ossei  

UNITA' STRATIGRAFICA

Scavo di unita' stratigrafica. Doveva essere una tomba, quindi si scava in quel punto preciso per capire quale sia la sua base.Non presenta ancora lo scheletro.Ci sono in questo caso buone probabilita' di trovarlo, ma nulla di certo.

PICCONE

Evidenzia la stratigrafia per renderla piu' chiara.Con il pioccone si va a piombare la parete.

PULIZIA CON SPAZZOLINO

Pulizia e selezione di pietre e pezzi di anfora del sesto secolo dopo Cristo.


Breve documentazione sonora durante gli scavi Romani della citta' di Ventimiglia. Tutte registrazioni vicine alla fonte sonora con tascam dr44wl e rode ntg4plus. Editing audio con Cubase pro.

In this new adventure I have decided to combine the sounds of nature with artificial sounds in the same song. Indeed in this mystical landscape the sounds of birds and the sounds of cars alternate. the sounds of nature were recorded at sunrise a few kilometers from the place of the video, away from traffic with my Dodotronic parabolic microphone, connected to the Tascam dr44wl. The video was recorded with the Sony Alpha 7iii. Audio editing with cubase pro 11. Video editing with final cut pro.

Three recently emerged virgin Queens piping to each other in a colony of honeybees.  Recorded with a Lavalier mic at the top of the frame (mid) and a JrF contact mic embedded in the beeswax comb (side). Mixed to L-R stereo. Recorded to a SD702.
