Seven years after the highly acclaimed ARMAGEDDON GIGOLO, Simone Salavatori and Stefano Puri once again find their paths crossing. BLACK HEARTS IN BLACK SUITS is the result of three years of work, composed by Stefano Puri specifically for SPIRITUAL FRONT, with Simone Salvatori lending his voice and interpretation (as intense and charismatic as ever) to the composer’s music. The poems of Reiner Werner Fassbinder are given new light as they materialize into musical form as Stefano Puri sits at the piano and joins Simone Salvatori on a voyage of no return. The SYMPOSIUM ENSEMBLE and the BLACK HEARTS CHOIR round out the endeavor.

The composer’s writing – in one moment minimal and introspective, in the next dark and theatrical – follows ancestral pathways along which the singers voice moves between intimacy and majesty, between heavy chords and light harmonies, between airy string passages and obscure choral harmonies. A concept album more akin to an opera than to the traditional LP, BLACK HEARTS IN BLACK SUITS is a fascinating symphonic journey that takes us through the darkest nihilistic sides of both the composer and the icon of “Suicide Pop”.

Longform is Phil Western’s ninth solo album and his first full length vinyl release. 

Genre-busting from beginning to end, Longform continues Phil’s unique fusion of electronic music with subtle live instrumentation. Combining classic synth-manipulation with malicious repetition and an electro-punk sophistication, the 16 tracks of Longform vary in tempo and intensity; some are lush, melodic and cathedrally stereophonic, while others are acidicly dark and throbbing with seismic heart-beat bass.

While Phil’s music can seem dense, like a thick, dark, sinister wall of sound, as with any organic composition it is also shimmeringly spacious, melodious and occasionally quite funky. Sonically built upon a foundation of synths, ambient textures, simple rhythms and hypnotic melodic patterns, throughout Longform one can hear a real acknowledgment and appreciation of timeless electronic music and the influence of such pioneers as Kraftwerk, Juan Atkins, Ultravox, Can and even Jean Michel Jarre.

7 Years Re-Release of the compilation that covers up songs from the first seven years of NO MORE's discography. At the end of 2008 NO MORE (condensed in the duo Tina Sanudakura and Andy Schwarz) got back on stage 22 years after the band split up in the 1986. In the following NO MORE successfully played all over Europe and released their new album "Midnight People & Lo-Life Stars" in 2010. So this is the perfect time to re-release the NO MORE compilation "7 Years" (first release 1990, Germany only) and take a look at the time before their comeback. Since this was the pre-CD era and all the original vinyl releases are sold out and are hard to get nowadays, "7 Years" is a fantastic possibillity to contemplate NO MORE‘S work in the 80s.
The focus lies on the last line-up (from 1984-1986) and contains, amongst others, songs from various 12" maxi-singles, the mini-LP "Laughter In The Wings" and their final album "Hysteria".The band called it a day during the recordings of "Hysteria" and Tina Sanudakura & Andy Schwarz recorded the song "7 Years" as a summary of these NO MORE years. And they certainly didn't think of coming back at that time.The compilation certainly contains the original version their alltime classic "Suicide Commando" and is still part of many DJ-Sets ( This song was also remixed by DJ HELL, VITALIC, ECHOPARK) "A song that refuses to die. A couple of years after these Germans recorded this, it spread like a virus to become a cult classic. The virus is still spreading to this day." (Optimo, UK) NO MORE refused to play their "hit" during the last two years befor splitting up, with only one exception: their farewell concert at the Old Daddy concert hall in Oberhausen, Germany.Luckily this concert was taped and therefore a live version of "Suicide Commando" can be found on here

DETUNE-X begins as a solo “industrial/noise” side project of Stefano Rossello (:BAHNTIER//) and releases in the 2004 the first album "burnow!" on Rustblade. At the end of July 2007 DETUNE-X will release the new album "PUREVIL" but this is not the only news: change happened and at nowdays DETUNE-X become a duo project made by Stefano Rossello and Eric Van Wonterghem (SONAR, MONOLITH, INSEKT). The sound of "Pure evil" is industrial and incorporates hypnotic hard edge beats with grating precision percussion. Each track is a version of the same theme with refinements, additional sounds and samples. This release just crushes. Fast paced hard edge rhythms pulse out of the speakers, hypnotic and pounding to the last, with some really saturating loops that draw in the listener and fantastic hypnotic sounds coupled with crisp and harsh percussion like TERRORFAKT or SONAR but also some tribal part like THIS MORN OMINA or Ah Cama-Sotz. Lydia Lunch and Cypress Grove previously unsettled the conventionally calm and respectful world of the cover song with a number of fractured productions. As you might expect, the choice of songs on this collection is a disconcerting array of material ranging from the hugely popular to the wildly obscure; from Jon Bon Jovi to Nashville troubadour Aaron Lee Tasjan, Doors and many others.

Lydia Lunch is both a prodigious collaborator (Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, Rowland S. Howard et al) and remarkable interpreter of other people’s work. It may therefore come as a surprise to learn that “Under The Covers” is her first album to consist entirely of songs by other artists.

This album also marks her third collaborative effort with British guitarist Cypress Grove, building on the success of their previous albums, “A Fistful Of Desert Blues” and “Twin Horses”. Grove is also something of a serial collaborator, having worked with Nick Cave, Mark Lanegan and Jeffrey Lee Pierce, to name but a few.

Lunch and Grove have previously unsettled the conventionally calm and respectful world of the cover song with a number of fractured productions. These include a controversial take on The Eagles frequently reviled ’70s anthem “Hotel California”. Their version of the song so dramatically realigned the central narrative of the song that many listeners were forced to rethink their hostility towards the original composition. Lydia Lunch is a self-confessed contrarian who delights in reinterpreting the songs people (including herself) love to hate.

As you might expect, the choice of songs on this collection is a disconcerting array of material ranging from the hugely popular to the wildly obscure; from the bombast of hair rocker Jon Bon Jovi to the introspection of emerging Nashville troubadour Aaron Lee Tasjan. The roster also includes a harrowing reworking of Bobbie Gentry’s Southern Gothic classic “Ode To Billie Joe” – a thematically obscure tale of love, death, abortion and suicide.

In a typically oblique move, Lunch also decided to cover one of her own compositions. “Won’t Leave You Alone” is a song she co-wrote with James Johnston (Gallon Drunk/ PJ Harvey/ Bad Seeds). Here we see the song mutate from blues rock prophecy to haunting folk lament.

Whether it be original songs penned together or the masterful interpretation of classic material on “Under the Covers”, Lydia Lunch and Cypress Grove continue to delight with the warped beauty of their unconventional coupling.

Justin Gabriel Isaac Bennett, musician/producer of various electronic/industrial/ambient projects including The Implicate Order, Bahntier, EXP, Rozz Williams, and Professional Murder Music, who also currently plays as the live drummer for such acts as Skinny Puppy, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, and Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy, has unleashed a new project by the name of kETvECTOR. 
The project was born out of a series of jam sessions and electronic improvisations between Bennett and Stefano Rossello (Bahntier, Detune-X) which were recorded in Italy after a busy 2007 summer touring schedule with Skinny Puppy. The recordings were then assembled and produced by Justin in Los Angeles at his Implicate Order studio. The result is a truly innovative electronic flavored album that experimentally spans the genres of electro-techno-dance, along with break dub, and even finds itself at times in the realms of ambient symphonic psychedelia… all of course helped along by the drumming and percussive virtuosity of Bennett.
