I'm new to DAWs, composing and recording. So to learn the basic I tried to record an instrumental cover.

This is just the demo of a poc for the game project of a friend. The topic was roughly:
- Zombie apocalypse
- The scenario involves trains
- It plays at least partly in Japan

The idea was to create 4 bar music samples, which can be freely mixed on top of each other. So this "song" is just a sample combination of them.

A song with vocals, with which I'm never satisfied. 😉 I played again a bit with the combination of amplified and acoustic instruments. I like this at the moment.

Running

My good friend Stecker inspired me to try to create a poc with some german lyrics. This was harder than I thought, because my voice instantly became a more natural speaking voice in my mother tongue.

But it was a fun challenge (like always 😉)

Der Weg

I played around with programmed blast beats for the first time. It was tricky for me to get it well in sync with the bass. But I liked it, and combined it with some other ideas for breaks and tempi changes, that I had. 
So this is not more than a bunch of tests. 😉

I have built this funny wooden toy instrument with my daughter. Playing around with it started this journey.

I basically played around with a 15:16 time signature, and it got a touch of western 😉

I got inspiration from a YouTube video, for an ambient theme with those harmonics. I needed to try it out, and this is what it became.

Reflect

I'm born in the early 80s in Germany. My musical interest is mostly influenced by 90s German Punk, Metal and Crunge. But I also love good orchestral arrangements and exploring folk music of several countries.

Today I love to compose music in my small music cave. As I can't sing, it often becomes a bit cinematic. 😉

Generally I like to experiment with styles and sounds. And if you want to use s.th. of it for your own project, feel free. When it's fun for me, I can even cut and remaster stuff for you. Don't hesitate to ask.
