BBP are kicking the summer of with the 4th instalment of the Breakin the Riddim series, this time with an array of styles for all.
Jayl Funk kicks it off with &lsquo;Come on Little Girl&rsquo;, getting your head nodding and feet bopping with some lovely subtle vocals, and pure reggae vibes in all, leading perfectly into the next track; &lsquo;Selecta&rsquo;. When BadboE gets his hands on any track, there&rsquo;s no disappointment, and that&rsquo;s the same with this one. Nice heavy sub bass rolling in the back behind some harmonica action and those vocal stabs bringing it all alive, before getting super bouncy. We&rsquo;re getting a bit spooky with &lsquo;Rhizoma&rsquo; by the Funkin Basstards. This is a real funk fuelled roller with all those essential elements including big horns, plucky guitars, a mean bassline a haunting vocal to provide of a proper funky, reggae vibes bopper.
Pecoe brings his own style as always with &lsquo;Bring the Booty&rsquo;, building you up with keyboard and guitar stabs, until it drops with some sweet vocals a flowing funk guitar, and a pumping bassline. Towlie DJs&rsquo; skills are on top form, with his cheeky remix &lsquo;Limbs&rsquo;. Getting uo tempo, and proper bouncy, thus is bound to be included in those summer festival sets. Time to get &lsquo;Step Step Step&rsquo; stepping with DJ Clairvo! Now a little change in style, getting some heavy beats, a big bad bass, and vocals getting you stomping the night away.
Finishing of, we have a rising star of the glitch breaks scene. Funkinright brings you &lsquo;High Yo&rsquo;, at track with one intention, and that&rsquo;s to bring that party to the next level. Earlier this year saw the release of the first ever Fort Knox Five and Lazy Syrup Orchestra (LSO) collaboration, Start The Ride, a mid-tempo, trippy, g-funk meets hip hop, floor burner.  Both artists performed jam-packed summer festival tours that saw their tune tearing up dancefloors and getting the crowd singing along in the LSO live sets. It’s safe to say the song has made the rounds and become a funky summer anthem. Now its time to strap on your seatbelts and get ready for a pair of amped up remixes that take the ride to full speed!

First up is Bristol, UK based production duo TWOGOOD who flip the mid-tempo original into a high energy, 303-laced funky house banger.  Their euphoric synth work and seductive basslines are peppered with acid lines and plenty of vocal effects to keep your ears busy and your booty bouncing.  This one is a guaranteed dancefloor floor filler, use with caution.

Vancouver’s own Average Citizens have been making waves on the West Coast festival circuit and have become crowd favorites with their booming house sets.  After Fort Knox Five remixed them two years ago, the DJ/Production couple returns the favor with a wicked bass house monster.  Complete with dramatic builds and breakdowns, this is a non-stop rave house delight, another killer remix destined to wreck dancefloors.

For both TWOGOOD and Average Citizens this is the first time they have done a remix for Fort Knox Recordings, and we are honored to have them remix Start The Ride.  With the original track being a groovy head bobber, these high energy remixes, take the ride ALL THE WAY UP!
