For Secret Thirteen journal we have worked on a special slowed down techno recording in the spirit of the live sets we have did for Polar Inertia’s recent exhibitions in Brussels and CCA, Tbilisi.

A couple of months ago we have changed all our gear and equipment, and collected new machines but somehow never had enough time to meet altogether and wire them. Finally, we have decided to hook up our new musical gear and equipment to improvise the future of Polar Inertia’s sound.

It was one of those studio jams you do not want to rush to. We took our time. Slowed down the tempo to 112 bpm and sent all synths through a multitrack recorder to catch every moment of the jam session. During hours of knob twisting we went through several states of mind and different styles.

What we are sharing with Secret Thirteen readers is an edited version of what happened that night.

Secret Thirteen Mix 131 – Polar Inertia - Live Recording

In a relatively short space of time, London-based imprint Lobster Theremin has become one of the most talked about record labels in the city. Helmed by Jimmy Asquith, the label has caught people's attention with a slew of releases that skirt the outer edge of house, techno and electro, often from little known artists.

The label boss has put together an hour long mix of pure Lobster fire consisting of tracks that are yet to drop and some of the best that have come out so far. Get ready for 100% Lobster Theremin.

Tripeo: Techno artist from Netherlands, also know as Darko Esser has more then 15 years of experience and has played all over Europe in world famous clubs such as Berghain & Panoramabar, Rex, Tresor, 11, House Of God, etc. He also pursues promotional activity and is in charge of booking policy of legendary Dutch venue Doornroosje in Nijmegen. His discography counts over 30 releases, mostly out at his own imprints Tripeo and Wolfskuil Records.

Tripeo’s sound settles on the crossing borders between house and techno what can be perfectly sensed on BASSIANI’s 5th podcast which is an excerpt of the last part from his 5 hour set played after Andy Stott live, while his first gig at BASSIANI in April 2015.

Sylvain Peltier aka Zadig has been part of the rave scene since the '90s and has since 2010 had releases on many famous labels such as Tresor, Deeply Rooted, Chronicle, Syncrophone to name few. Since then he has created his own record label Construct Re-Form, which first was meant as a platform for his own publications, but which now also releases artists such as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. His first steps were in 2011 when he started experimenting with sound and studying Electronic Arts.

After some time developing his style and technics, in 2014 he debuts as producer releasing music in the well known label Planet Rhythm, delivering his first EP: Vexations, getting the support of artists like Henning Baer, Tensal, Marcel Dettmann, Bas Mooy, Ettap Kyle, and more.

He continues releasing music for labels like Weekend Circuit, Insula Records, Animal Farm, and a collaboration EP with Mental Resonance for Pfirter's label MindTrip Music.

Influenced by differents styles of the techno genre, his productions and sessions are charged of differents emotions, going throw deep and mental places, to others more focused on the floor.
