Rusty has flightless birds on his mind as he finishes the coop this spring. The whole process has him thinking about how we must consult feedback from others that contains what God says about us and not simply the flight opinions of "chickens". Look up and see the eagles. Now THAT's flying - and you were made to soar!

Rusty still has chickens on his frontal lobe and recalls his struggles placing the coops and how the process parallels some spiritual truths. Remember to know that 1) God is still providing in the waiting times, 2) Delays might be due to circumstances not under your control and may be needed to best complete the big picture, 3) Reinforcing weak areas are necessary when God uses His power to move you from point A to point B, and most importantly number 4) which... I think I forgot. Guess you'll have to listen in.

Rusty now turns his focus toward the orchard the family is developing and the rules that must be applied. As always, there are many truths that pertain to both the fruitfulness of planted things as well within the life of the believer. Dust off your watering cans and grab a shovel. There is work to do and a God-given capacity to do it well to produce much... fruit.

Rusty is encouraged as he encourages us today. Remembering the authority God has given believers, he prays for his son's upcoming scoliosis surgery and looks at how David, a man for God's own heart, was wise enough to ask for help to learn his Father's will.

Rusty knows that sometimes we just need to get a little scientific to better understand the things of God... sometimes. Like how we are to see the true unbounded power, warmth and provision that the Lord provides. Much like the rays of the sun, let's not underestimate the thawing impact God can have on the lives of anyone willing leave the counterfeit comforts of the dark side.

Rusty receives the prayer that Paul prayed over the Ephesians and gets reminded that the fullness of God can be active in the life of every believer. Let us break free from the simple and comfortable mindset that restricts us to the confines of... the keep.

Rusty focuses on the importance, and really, the end-goal of relationships and how they meet a desperate need we all have by providing nutrients to our life. Rusty looks at how our mind and emotions can get overwhelmed due to past hurts and failures. As we look at what Christ did on the cross, we choose to alter our gaze and focus on this completed work and the new life His Holy Fire brings forth when given permission to destroy the power of the dead things - in the Fire Zone.

Focusing on what he has considered is a true accomplishment, Rusty relives a bit of a personal struggle that has little to do with a leg injury and more to do with properly preparing for the adulthood of children. Rusty shares a few thoughts about our ministry to the family and how we should remember that our family members will each have different needs. God knows this and provides us the appropriate help to us so that we can provide the appropriate help to them. Continuing on yesterday's theme of removing the brace, we should also be reminded that maturity requires walking through things when we may not feel ready, but the braces needs to come off so that God's strength can be released in our walk and ensure scar tissue does not hinder us down the road.

Sometimes we need a burst of God-inspired reality in the midst of our self-pity. Rusty is in smackdown mode, dishing out the encouragement with the reminder that we already have the victorious life regardless of what the surrounding voices might tell us. Rusty looks at a few instances when simple actions made with intent created much more than the sum of the parts. Being reminded of the deliberate action of Christ to bring about abundant life should be a catalyst to actively follow Him and live out a life that though requiring faith to see, still brings about God's perfected plan at all points along the path.
