Diminished Concept:

It is a fiction that through surrealism observes and analyzes the communication and interaction between the conscious and subconscious of an individual with the world (its perception of the world or environment).

The communication in this case is transmitted in a spoken, written and / or thought by the subject. While the receiver will be its environment, without the latter being another subject (person) necessarily. It communicates direction, desire and motive, branching into its surroundings. While said environment feeds the senses of the subject in cyclic terms trying to give an answer. Thus generating solutions, answers and new questions to the present conscious, giving way to new directions and practices that will evolve the subconscious of the subject in the long term.

This individual searches, questions and identifies in time the cyclical patterns that appear in front of it (personalities, events, emotions, texts, visions, triumphs and frustrations). Patterns generated by the culminating moments of its gait, which are lost, stagnate, are recorded or knotted in memory, becoming a portion of the ingredients that illuminate the opening and closing of its eyes.

This analysis is the mold of the positive / negative state of the individual, each having their origins and cyclic effects separately in their present state.

In Diminished I express this concept in an urban, mundane and everyday context. Exercises or simple practices that cultivate the skill, the expert with consequences such as happiness and satisfaction, in parallel, mistakes resulting in frustrations or unhappiness.

"Diminished" is the state that alludes to the mind in frustration or dullness of the individual who has hurt its hand under the constant execution or practice of a string instrument chord, this event being one of the seeds for a better strategy or more correct execution of the chord. And at the same time the limitation of the moment and end of a cycle in its learning.
