Description: mmm.. technology! Managed to save this remix from about 1998-1999 which i did for MúM. The DAT tape damaged it so heavily at the time, so it was never released (two remixes was enough anway hehe). Now... cleaned the header, fixed the tape (parts lost, but edited it a bit and made the sound more clear). So what once was lost, is now found again. So... hope someone will enjoy.

Man, The Ballad of the Broken Birdie Records (Ruxpin Remix II) is my favorite track, I didn't know there's third remix. Great work and thanks for uploading!

Love the sort of forward pressing contradiction in this track (calm piano / fast percussion). Still I feel somewhat surprised that the female voice-sample is so fast.

First ran across your work on the remixes of MúM. Started seeking out more of your work on vinyl, and asked after it when I was in Iceland, to no avail. I bought several of your albums digitally, but finally snagged a copy of Radio right here in Brooklyn...

Carpe Sonum records in the US have just launched my new album "Variants Of Perception" to pre order, The CD will ship out at the end of March. 

The tracks on the album were recorded between 2019 & 2020 and I sent Dave at the label a selection of works to choose from, by late 2020 we had narrowed it down to seven pieces and a running order was selected and I set to work to create a sequence which now makes the album flow in a continuous listen.

To achieve this, some additional arrangement/edits were created at the end or beginning of some tracks. 

The album clocks in at over seventy minutes. 
"Variants Of Perception" see's me returning to an often haunting yet melodic mix of Ambient and experimental beats amongst a myriad of my influences yet delivering that Mick Chillage tonal & emotion flair.

Atardecer En Puerto Montt

Etui welcomes Tim Kossmann. With Lockdown Loops the Westfalia dub techno mastermind presents a very personal EP with 3 deep, loop based tunes recorded in extreme isolation during lockdown. The situation created a feeling of lonesome remoteness and uncertainty, transcended by putting in more man hours in the studio.

The EP starts with Loop A, a dreamy dub techno riddim that has nice distant echoes and mint chords. The 2nd track Loop B has a more noisy, warped chord progression topped with atmospheric piano riffs.

Loop C on the b-side consists probably of the most heavenly sounding melancholic chord loop he has recorded so far. Expect a tune composed of atmospheric bluster combined with a banging deep mono bass and different layers of noise. It is simply an epic lofi sound anthem.

Tim Kossmann is a Germany based producer who focuses mainly on dub techno and ambient. Since 2016 he has been releasing on a constant basis on labels like Telrae, Greyscale and Superordinate Dub Waves among many others.

He loves to explore the deep side of techno, with the aim of creating deep, lush chords and soundscapes filled with echo and spaced out delays, where deeply banging bass and moving whitenoise are combined with sophisticated harmonics in order to push the boundaries of the genre.

Since our beginning, we've been consistently crossing paths with talented artists one way or another. Whether it was from them playing one of our shows, or us finding them on the web, we've found something we love about everyone on here. The Melt Compilation Vol. 1 is a collection of songs from these artists alongside all five of our residents who include Gossamer, Moiety, Snorlax, FuzZ, Kloud, and Djemba Djemba. The styles incorporated within the compilation span one too many sub-genres too mention. The release itself is a result of the growing community of talent that we find ourselves in each day. We're grateful to be a part of such a progressive movement of artists who are paving new paths and we look forward to being here to watch the growth continue.
