Finished Ace Combat 7 today, which is a really wonderful game I have no shortage of positive things to say about. Foremost among them is the music, which blends orchestral, rock, and trance motifs into something that feels continuously tense. When the 909s edge their way onto a track, it's to communicate this kind of dread anxiety about the noose of a perilous future tightening more and more. I was feeling inspired so I made this. It'll find it's way onto an EP of music inspired by video games, most likely.
