I need to make a little clarification. This set is inspired by the talents of man like General Malice (Rest easy my homie 1981-2024). Clint had a way of pushing you to your outer limits of what you were comfortable in producing/mixing. Music only evolves if you allow it to *Clint Harley Ward….. So how do you push the boundaries of this Jungle/DnB thing of ours? And the answer was, to use whatever inspires you. Clint may have been born in the northern United States, but this dude was nothing but West Coast driven. Los Angeles was his blood and territory. As I matured in my personal sound, I could never help but be inspired by the General’s outlook on jungle/ragga-jungle. So this is my personal take from all the years I was blessed in spending with General Malice. I hope you enjoy this jungle mix as much as Molly and I did curating this tribute. It wouldn’t be a G Malice set without ending on a soundboy killa dubplate from the man himself…
