Yushh dropped a lethal weapon in ‘Team Boot’ earlier this year (shouts to the Woozy crew @emma-jane-g & @sputnik_one) and continues to fight on the frontline in Bristol, as her collaborations with Syz begin to see the light of day and following a brilliant recent release on her imprint from Delay Grounds (featuring a rude Suze remix). i-sha, a DJ and visual artist based in Brighton has been a staple in the City's music scene for the last few years, formerly a promoter running parties in Brighton & London whilst also being a Patterns resident & holding down a monthly show on 1BTN! This "Pick 'N' Mix" is a selection of all sorts - touching on gqom, club, grime, dubstep, trap and footwork, definitely expect a lot of low end bass. The mix is a fusion of both and old new tracks but mainly, tracks she'd love to hear in the club again. Expect to hear a bit more from i-sha this year as she will be revealing a couple of new projects she has been working on the last few months!

In conversation with Thodén:

 - Describe the style and energy of the mix, where did you want to take it and how do you envisage it being played and received by the audience?

"The mix is, as with most, a culmination of styles I'm into at the moment. I tried to mix easy listening with more energetic music and take it through one to the other. I compiled a lot of old and new stuff that popped out to me without any preconditions as to their fluidity. It jumps around as a result, from mostly ambient in the beginning to a lot of fun stuff in the end without sticking to a specific formula. Mixes are more interesting that way I think"

- What sorts of music are you enjoying at the moment? 

"Most electronic music I listen to at the moment is whilst I'm doing these mixes, but it's coming back bit by bit. I'm enjoying a lot more non-'dance' stuff at the moment, most likely a result of the present circumstance. Been getting into ambient bits from labels like experiences ltd. and appendix.files. Recently did an album for Electromenager which took some inspiration from that"

 - Anything we need to keep an eye out for in the coming months?

"Got a V.A. release coming up with Pseudonym, other than that I'm just taking it slow for the moment; I just moved to Copenhagen to start my masters and that's been pretty busy so I'm trying to balance my time"

OS Premiere's kick off with the title track from a debut series of releases on Will Lister's new label Heald Recordings. It's the first of 6 tracks being released over the course of 3 months which equate to a mini LP. We've not heard much like this from Will before, really fresh sounding electronics, with a heavy focus on atmosphere and sonics rooted in the club. This particular track builds rather emotively and is such an aural pleasure! Wicked stuff!
