BENZA is an emerging talent from Madrid who is rapidly growing in the scene thanks to his productions. From deep to groove, his sets and productions are characterised by a raw and futuristic sound that pursues a single goal, to bring energy and movement to the dancefloor. A resident of the Madrid-based collective Symbole Community, BENZA currently lives in Berlin, where he continues developing his artistic career.

INTERVIEW
You're originally from Madrid, but you've been living in Berlin since last year. How has that influenced you and your sound?

Berlin’s been like a playground for learning. I’ve been around so many artists in all kinds of clubs, and it’s really opened my perspective. Being surrounded by so much music has pushed me to experiment more and carve out my own space. My sound has become more minimal and emotional, and I’d like to think a bit more intentional, trying to do more with less.

How do you go about producing new tracks? Do you have a specific routine or method?

I wish I had a routine, but honestly, I don’t. I just go into the studio, press some buttons here and there, and hope something comes out. It’s kind of like fishing, you never know what you’ll catch, but you just keep trying until something bites. It’s all about experimenting and seeing what sticks. Lately though, I’ve been trying to build a habit of learning something new every day and then making a track with it.

You're a resident DJ at Symbole. How would you describe a typical night at Symbole in Madrid?

Symbole is home. It feels familiar, cared for, and authentic. I might be a bit biased since I’m a resident, but honestly, I think it’s one of the most wholesome events you can find. The nights are musically diverse and dynamic, giving space both to established artists and emerging talent, and the focus is always on quality, not just in the music, but in the overall experience. One of the things I love most about Symbole is that there’s always this drive to improve and keep evolving.

Fides Records pushes further into its 10-year anniversary journey with X3, the third chapter of the series. Staying true to the label’s decade-long commitment to forward-minded underground techno, this new instalment sharpens the focus with five cuts that move between peak-time impact, melancholic tension, and dubwise pressure each one a different angle on the Fides aesthetic.

Side A opens with Dustin Zahn’s “Madness”, a no-nonsense peak-time weapon built on stomping momentum, immersive pressure, and relentless driveproof of why the US veteran remains a constant reference point. Marco Bruno follows with “Aura”, where melancholic leads and detuned synths shape an introspective yet heavy-hitting groove, capturing the Italian producer’s emotional weight and versatility. Closing the side, JANEIN (co-founder of Seelen Records) delivers “Polaris”, a spatial, bleepy roller that leans into darkness while keeping the propulsion locked forward.
Flipping to Side B, Yant’s “Fractured” shifts the palette: playful yet precise, kinetic in motion, with textures that keep mutating as the rhythm snaps into place. DHÆÜR “Sealand” captures the mood of a young Italian artist carving a new lane in minimal, elegant, unapologetic energized and raw Techno, yet defined by clean design, confident restraint, and a sharp personal signature. The record concludes with Hadone’s “No Longer Observed”, a dub-tinged stomper rich in detail and low-end depth; club-weight with an emotional undercurrent, balancing elegance and power in a way that feels unmistakably Fides.
