We make theatre from the World’s greatest and most powerful stories. Stories that help us see the world in new and unexpected ways.

Our model for making and delivering ambitious programming nurtures new talent, supports artistic risk and builds local, national and international partnerships. Our programme is made up of bold, inclusive and popular shows for diverse audiences as well as new work created by some of the most exciting emerging  artists and makers, 

We produce and present performances and events in the Royal Exchange building, other theatres, community venues, unusual places and festivals for 48 weeks of the year. 

We continue to invest in new ideas and new energies, opening up our Company and building and placing learning, training and talent development at the heart of what we do. 

Seeing a show at the Royal Exchange might challenge you, provoke you, inspire you or simply entertain you. You might decide to find out more through an after show discussion with a writer or Director or get more involved by taking part in a tour, workshop or training programme.
