◙BROKEN◙

20 months in the making, this song paints a tale of conception, attachment, and the painful inevitability separation. Every part of this song is written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered entirely by myself.

The concept of this emerged in a magnificently organic fashion. The work-in-progress title, "ultrasound," was not originally meant to be so fundamentally woven into the fabric this song. However, after recording what were initially place-holder lyrics, I found that a larger narrative emerging before my eyes. I wound up embracing the lyrics I had originally thought to be temporary, finding this creative approach of radical acceptance led me to the heartfelt words that accompany the climax of this auditory journey. Finally, as I reached the final in polishing this song which has become so dear to me, I realized the perfect art to accompany this music would be an ultrasound image of a baby--preferably one of myself. Though I was unaware of any existing ultrasound pictures of myself or any of my family members, I asked my parents whether they had any such. To my delighted surprise, my dad was able to dig up set of ultrasound pictures of none other than myself! This, embellished with cosmic color, is this image I felt best suited this song.

This week’s record comes from a producer that takes his name after the legendary Walter White, well at least he used to. Steven Roys is his new alias but you might know him for releases under HEISENBERG. He had a gigantic track that came out on Panthers Groove called Zimbabwe & he most certainly brings some of that vibe to his latest track right here on EDMHouseNetwork.

Dancin’ is one of those records that is perfect for the clubs & injects pure energy into its listener.
