Did a live stream recently of all my favourite tracks from the BXR/Media/Nukeluz back catalogue, and this is the audio recording from it.

Mauro Picotto is pretty well known for the big chart smashers like Lizard, Iguana, Komodo etc, but in my opinion he has so many more better tracks than that! 75% of the tunes in this mix are his, and the rest are from the other Italian big dogs who were killing it back in the early 2000s. Pretty much all these tunes still sound amazing played against the techno of nowadays, shows you how good these guys used to be!

This mix is comprised of a bunch of tracks I grew up listening to. All produced or remixed by one of the all time greats. 

If you've ever listened to any of Tony De Vit's numerous mix CDs then you'll know why he was one of the true pioneers of the harder sides of dance music. It may not be to everyone's tastes but there's no denying he influenced a lot of people. For me, I've always loved that stomping kick drum, the hard but groovy bass and his ability to make a track uplifting. You can instantly spot a TdV track in any mix, they always stand out amongst the rest. All these years later, still the king!

Some of the vinyl on this mix are pretty old so you'll have to forgive if the sound quality isn't 100%, but it's done in the style of the time.....2 turntables, one mixer and a bit of fun :)

It's been a while since I put up a fresh techno mix. To be honest, I was kinda losing interest with all the tracks coming out trying to sound like Funk Assault clones (badly), so took a bit of a step back for a few months. Now the darker months are incoming, it feels like the perfect time for a set of nothing but fast-paced, dancefloor aimed heaters. Mostly new tracks with a few oldies sprinkled in. Enjoy!

Found this on an old ipod and couldn't seem to find it online anywhere, so thought it might be something a good few people would enjoy! I was always a fan, nothing better than dropping a player record in a set when you need that track with a wee hook people will recognise, so when they recently put all their back catalogue up for a ridiculously cheap price I saw it as a good chance to get a few I was missing. I was there for this rave up along with a couple of thousand other people, was a cracking night. I used to love it when Fergie was playing this sort of techno, proper banging it out!

If you don't like hard house, this won't be for you. Some old Trade style tracks at the start then into the newer tunes. There's a few absolute cheesers in there too, but sure it's just fun music - nothing serious :)

Ryan Dallas - Bangers & Mash Pt.2

2 hours of my favourite Scott Brown tunes! I've been meaning to do this for ages, mainly because he's an absolute legend and I have so many of his tracks. The king of the Scottish music scene, responsible for making literally hundreds of tracks and most of them are hardcore anthems. He can do uplifting vocal stuff, bouncy stuff, proper nails dutch style gabber....you name it. 

There were so many tunes I didn't pick, I probably could have done another hour of just the heavy stuff alone. This is a selection of my favs, cheesy vocal stuff into the bouncy hardcore in the second half.

2020 was the 25th anniversary of Tidy, so I thought I'd do a small tribute mix to them. Well, 4 hours 30 minutes and 50 odd tracks isn't really small but there were far too many tunes to try and narrow down, and I had nothing else to do on a foggy lockdown Sunday!

Most of the big Tidy Weekender anthems are in there, probably left a good few out but this is what I had at the time. All mixed on the fly in one go, so it might be a bit ragged round the edges but at least you know it was done live!

Ok this is a complete world away from the music I play now, but I always did have a bit of a soft spot for trance, especially when I was younger. The weather was amazing here in Belfast last week so I thought it would be nice to record a mix of loads of tunes I used to love back around the early to mid 2000's, no better music for a hot sunny day :)

I started recording and just flicking through old tunes and before I knew it it was nearly 3 hours into the mix. I know trance has its haters but it's just a bit of fun, nothing serious!
