AEON and label boss Alex Niggemann are thrilled to welcome Denis Horvat back to AEON for another smashing EP, this time with the superb three-tracker ‘Minor’.

Previously releasing on Noir Music, Upon You, Get Physical and Souvenir, not to mention his stellar release on AEON last year, the Danish producer is getting his just desserts after years of meticulously curating and creating stellar music.

Here we have a hat trick of all encompassing cuts, and although bursting with the oomph you need for a heads down, hands up main room stomp, these tracks offer you more than just a 4’4 beat and a soundtrack to your rave, thanks to the skill and careful attention Horvat has put into each one.

Captivating from the off, Minor is a melancholic yet rapid composition of layered synth chords and percussion. As your heart starts to race, the energy continues to build with the track ‘DIY’, complete with driving bassline, reverb and effective distortion.

Rounding off on a high, ‘Cedevita’ brings the pulse back up again with another meticulously programmed latticework of drums, bass, and unadulterated dance floor decadence, with that added ambience of intrigue that goes hand in hand with Horvat’s productions.

Through this solid EP, the producer continues to create dense, barnstorming techno beats complete with that extra signature darkness.

When Plastikman´s - "Ex" was released i got drawn to the track EXpand of the Album. When i heard it for a couple of times i noticed that there could be added something more to it and some track directly popped up in my head that i, till that moment, actually wanted to use as an intro song for my sets. That way i ended up having Gaiser´s "Way Out" in Ableton together with EXpand. The work didn't proceeded that easy as i noticed there will be a lot of detailed things to take care of as i also wanted to keep the live vibe of Richie´s track. With a lot of fine tuning i ended up adding some rhythmic elements to it myself and the planned mash up became a complex rework. As there already was some remixes around "EX" released i thought it might be the right time to present what did came out of some hours of work to have my own unique version of those to tracks.

Creative partnership Audiofly are the next to release on Crosstown Rebels with the show stopping ‘In The (Last) Moment’ featuring the angelic voice of Georgia Lewis. The release comes complete with a steadfast remix from Germany’s Robag Wruhme.

‘In the (Last) Moment’ sets the foundation with broken chuggy beats as intricate layers and grumbling pads unfold beneath the beautiful sounds of Georgia’s voice. Audiofly explain that, "sometimes it’s nice to not have to write the usual peak time bomb, with this one we followed our hearts and the vibe of young vocalist Georgia Lewis and what emerged was a sunrise moment."

With 13 years behind them Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito AKA Audiofly have established a creative empire, which includes two record labels and their Flying Circus global party brand, which celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year with a world tour. Working harder than ever, a second artist album is in the works following on from 2011 long-player ‘Follow My Liebe’.

Industry veteran Robag Wruhme has more recently had releases on the likes of Kompakt and Pampa Records. Here he makes an imprint on Crosstown Rebels with this epic remix that fuses elated synths and industrial elements over solid rolling percussion.
