Returning to the label, classically trained pianist and electronic producer Alexandra Vysheslavova aka Omfeel, makes a four-track debut with her brand new EP ‘Happiness’.

Taking a traditional route into music through a classical music education, Omfeel studied jazz and composition throughout her formative years, going on to work professionally as a pianist for visiting tourists at the Palace of Labor, a teacher and accompanist in higher educational institutions.

However her slow-burning passions for the rich stylistic diversity of modern music soon became clear, spending days listening to an array of genres from pop, ambient and soul, she felt a craving to compose more diverse piano arrangements with electronic textures. 

Since first appearing on the label in early 2023 with a stunning piano composition ‘Dancing Ego’, Omfeel has amassed over 1.3 million streams to date and featured the track on the latest in James Grant & Jody Wisternoff’s annual compilation series, ‘Anjunadeep 14’. 

Taking its title from a journey of personal liberation and inner strength, Omfeel’s latest offering is an inspiring, uplifting and introspective body of work. Composed with empowerment in mind “so that nothing can disturb the harmony within you”, her EP ‘Happiness’ encourages you to embrace the good in every day.

A little bit of a different one from us, as this a slightly more chilled, deep house production than usual. I was recently listening to David Gray's excellent Life In Slow Motion album and the final track Disappearing World (which is a personal favourite!) stuck in my ear afterwards for a while and felt like one that could be remixed for a DJ mix/set. Turns out it's 120 bpm originally, so the tempo was kept the same and the outcome was this version. We hope you enjoy. Dan x

For my first mix I wanted to create a mix of my favourite Anjuna tracks from over the years.

First mix

The mighty Ejeca reveals his latest EP on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth. Hot off the heels of his chart-topping single ‘Ekstac’, the Belfast born groovemonger delivers yet again with this thought-provoking four-track EP.

Kicking off with ‘Everglade’, where slow-building arpeggios set the pace for a dramatic combination of fluid sounds that bud and flower into a momentous dancefloor moment. Eastern flutes echo over rich synth chords and intricate drum patterns in a minimalistic yet awe-inspiring opening track.

The heavyweight kicks of ‘Your Mind’ deliver the damage from the offset. Here Ejeca fuses in a heavily edited vocal line across a perplexing synth line and the two blend over the rhythms in a twist of blissful elation.

‘Artemis’ channels true techno ideals throughout its five-minute lifeline. The racing 808 hats and pounding toms roll across a vast chasm that paves the perfect path for the steadily building synth lines that drift in over the top.

Final track ‘Diskord’ brings faster tempo rhythms where hard panning chords and a meaty kick drum offer a firm backbone for the trippy sonics that feature across this ingenious techno cut. Whispering French spoken word over a blisteringly crisp 909 drum groove fly in at lightspeed and leave absolutely no prisoners.
