This sensationally crafted four track EP perfectly cap- tures the dark melodic techno sound that Francys has grown so accustomed to. An ambient and atmospheric undertone accompanies and surrounds each production on the EP, which is perfectly captured by the opening track ‘Different Shapes’. This production is a perfect opener displaying Francys diverse and unique sound that is often trademarked and recognizable by the synth melodies that layer each production.

Combining crisp closed percussion and haunting de- layed synth keys; ‘Nibiru’ offers a more minimal techno sound to the EP, with the distorted snare and powerful kick drum layered under the track. The baseline remains ambient leaving Francys synth arrangement to draw in the listener and drive the production forward.

‘Arcenciel’ captivates the listener with a fusion of darkened piano riffs and chilling melodies. This track is a stand out production from the EP, a steady dramatic progression over eight minutes resulting in the track gradually fading out accompanied by an echoed synth.

Now here's something special. Johannes Brecht returns to Poker Flat with a little night music, a trio of deep, dramatic and driving house tunes that in their precision and inven- tion are testimony to a distinctive intelligence.

Since an impressive stint as musical direc- tor for Henrik Schwarz's "Instruments" project and the subsequent release of 2013's "Holla", Brecht's reputation has been growing steadily with a series of carefully crafted 12"s. And if "Trois Nocturnes" is anything to go by, 2015 is set to be his year.

Nuages" hinges on a sinuous, snake-charming synth line. Instantly memorable, it's an exquisi- te headphone experience that's equally deadly on the dancefloor.

The lilting "Sirènes" teems with ideas, its big kick burnished with a dancing synth motif and a chamber orchestra of synthetic strings.

Last but not least, the motorik 12-minute "Fêtes" contrasts its knotty, brittle piano line with sus- tained pads and bright, striking syncopations.

While still maintaining his trademark sound but taking a slightly deeper path, Meyer conjures up the super dreamy 'Uluwatu'. The latest instalment from @Roam-Recordings comes from acclaimed Belgian producer and DJ @CabaretNocturne who has previous releases on labels such as Beachcoma, My Favorite Robot, Nein, Factor City, and Rotten City.  

His new EP for Roam Recordings is a fine addition to his already excellent discography. The title track Western Ghost sets the stage for this EP that sounds like it could be from a movie set somewhere in the desert outside of LA. 

The Western Ghost EP  comes with one other original 'Lost Town' and rounded off with excellent remixes from Kieran Holden and Damon Jee. Both of these accomplished producers take on one of the originals and deliver their own spin within the theme of this EP.

Alberto Iovine and Alessandro Fumagalli aka Modular Project announce the launch of their new label, in partnership with Rebirth Records.
 
Born and raised between Como and Milan, Alberto and Alessandro quickly shared their love for electronic music and the great passion for vintage synths and drum machines. They started to produce together in 2012 and released on labels like OFF, Moodmusic and Perpetualis Music before joining Rebirth in 2017 with their remix of the Blond:ish classic ‘Wizard Of Love’.

The 003 is a special Ep from Modular Project on the label. ‘Alphaville’ is an hypnotic journey through shades of indie electronica, new wave and their signature sounds, while ‘Another Glimpse’ is a beautiful emotional slow workout. The package comes with two strong remixes from Nuno Dos Santos and Fairmont. Amsterdam dj and producer Nuno Dos Santos reworked 'Alphaville' adding a darker and trippy touch, while Jake Fairley aka Fairmont, key force in the canadian electronic music scene, gave 'Another Glimpse' a beautiful deeper and atmospheric appeal. 

A strong third release for Nothing Is Real.
