From the Vault: DemaGagh Soma Practice 3 - 31 - 16

Inspired by the new wave of polyrhythmic 'djent' metal developed by bands like Meshuggah and Tesseract, Mostafa Nodehi (guitars) and Ryan Jones (bass) started DemaGagh (Di-muh-gog) as a project in 2014 to create huge sounding, high fidelity technical metal that transports its listeners. To achieve this, the San Diego-based DemaGagh focuses on creating metal with an epic, cinematic feel, that is tightly and accessibly arranged for modern audiences. With Ryan and Mo forging the foundation of the music, vocalist Cheiron Themistocles provides powerful, dramatic vocals and lyrics that support the cinematic feel and sci-fi themes that are common to the progressive genre of metal. DemaGagh has no drummer, but similar to some 'industrial' bands, integrates percussion into its music through backing tracks. DemaGagh recently debuted an all-originals 45-minute live show, and is playing at clubs in Southern California.
