Sometimes I write songs on my own in my home studio.  Recorded direct into Cubase with manually programmed drums (thank you, Steven Slate!), they sometimes come out as fully fleshed-out songs.  Sometimes they just stay an idea.  None of them have lyrics and are all considered "incomplete".

Most of what I've created would fall into the metal genre, though some other pieces would be considered straight-ahead rock.  It's a good way to satisfy the creative itch. The Temple Burns - Machine Gun Party

Another Temple Burns track that deviated from the metal genre.  The initial melody line came to me as an idea and I decided to let inspiration take me where it would.  That became "The Anthemitician".  Other mkII songs have similarly been more rock-oriented, and I have a feeling most future ideas will be in the same vein.

The Temple Burns mkII - The Anthemitician

Another original song written by Kirk Fyvie, who orchestrated and arranged everything and played acoustic guitar and piano.  I wrote and recorded my own bass and electric guitar parts.  Like the other from JKR, this song is incomplete, though I believe it only lacks vocals.  It also will likely never get finished.....so, here it is.

An original song written by Kirk Fyvie (he also played acoustic guitar and arranged all percussion and orchestral instruments).  I wrote and recorded my own bass and electric guitar parts.  The song is incomplete (especially the chorus, which lacks any electric guitars) due to....life, and will likely never get completed.  So, here it is in it's incomplete glory.  Only recording so far to feature my grandfather's Gibson ES-125TCD.

JKR - Untitled 7

An original song from my former band, New Mercury.  Music (and title) was written by me, with lyrics written by Max Sadler.  I played all guitars and sang backing and co-lead vocals.

A track from "It's Not Just For Christmas Anymore" (eventually re-titled and re-packaged as "A Jazz Musician's Christmas) that I worked on as an assistant engineer.  Basic tracks were cut live and were either the first or second take, while the tenor battle between Tom Kubis and Pete Christlieb were overdubbed later, with both men sitting next to each other as they traded solos.
