This song is about struggling to pursue greatness and the challenges you will face trying to improve yourself and to kill the weak part of you. The reason we call the song "Odyssey" is an allusion to the book "Odyssey" by Homer, which is a story about Odysseus trying to find his way back home. Often times a journey of self improvement can feel like a perilous journey across the sea on a raft.
