Workin Man Blues

Playing guitar at the age of Six, I knew it was going to be a life of music. It wasn't until the age of fifteen when I joined my first band called Southern Wind. This was the starting point of a wonderful new music adventure for for myself and the fellow band members. Playing in local clubs and private parties, Southern Wind continued to play small town music for good time country folk and bring country music to the top of the food chain in this small town. Shows were booked at Gw's, Kelly's, Wild West, Joyland, etc. Playing lead guitar and sharing the mic with the other singers in the group, I continued to use this time to write a few songs and learn the basics of the music industry.

After the band Southern Wind broke up, like most young bands do, it was time to branched off forming a new band called High Noon. All the musicians were extremely gifted. My assignment; lead singer and rhythm guitar player for this hot new band of the 90's. I couldn't play guitar to save my life. Five long years together playing in clubs all around the state of Florida, sometimes playing five nights a week! Because of the awesome friends around us and the high energy that was pure magic! High Noon was wanted in every bar that had country music mainly because Rhob our Bass player kicked ass when it came to booking shows! He was the mastermind behind the operation.

After leaving Punta Gorda, Lakeland was next on the radar, first stop; look for a new band in the big city. Lakeland is a small town but when you compare the two, Lakeland has a few more red lights. Here is where the full time job at the local motorcycle shop while trying to learn a new instrument, (Keyboards) comes in. Working 8 hrs a day and then another 8 hrs of practice, learning this new instrument went on for over a year. After getting the hang of it I was soon playing keyboards in a band called Fletcher Cane.
