Here are five variations on Oliver's theme from the classic seasons of Thomas and Friends. I made this to test out different soundfonts, instrument combinations, and moods/tones.

After being in my school's steel drum band for almost two years, I felt compelled arrange some music for a pan ensemble. Two songs that inspired me especially were "Coconut Mall" (from Mario Kart) and Shelly Irvine's "Samba el Gato".

Stepney and Rusty's Steel Samba

To make an original theme for Sir Handel, I tried to closely mimic a variation of "The Skarloey Railway Theme" by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell. I added elements such as the trombone slides to reflect Sir Handel's proneness to accidents, and overall I tried to capture his grumpy (yet somehow goofy) persona.

This is by far the best and most emotional variation on the Skarloey Railway Theme I've ever done.

I don't really do mashup pieces anymore, nor have I played Pokémon in any capacity, but I heard this song in a meme a few weeks ago and it has been stuck in my head.

Driftveil City and Edward's Theme have the same tempo. However, I couldn't decide whether to emulate Edward's S3 or S6 theme, so I did a bit of both.

Here is possibly one of the most simple and low-effort pieces of music I've ever made. Splatter is an important character in my series, so it only made sense for me to give him his own theme.

Here's the background music from when James does his BMQ delivery with Toad. I love the chord progression of James' theme. I really enjoyed using percussion to create an industrial sort of feeling, and weaving so many themes into James' (see if you can guess them all)!

Here is the background music from when Duck is recounting what happened on Sodor during the day. I really wanted to capture that sleepy feeling you get after a exhausting day of hard work, and Duck's Theme is perfect since it sort of has a longing feel to it (in my opinion).

Here is the background music from when James and Sir Topham Hatt have a heart-to-heart. I wanted this to sound like a big release of tension as James finally gets to express his frustrations. I always thought James' Season 7 theme had major potential for a bigger orchestral arrangement.

Here is the background music from the shunting yard scene. I used high strings and woodwinds to create what I imagine a sunrise sounds like. I also wanted everything to be legato and drawn out, since the characters (besides Dodge) are still just waking up. I always enjoy working with my original shunting yard theme.

Escaping From Boulder Twice

Here is a completely original theme I made for Thumper! In my series, Thumper is an adorable little mining machine that was blamed for the collapse of Boulder Quarry and sadly abandoned for many decades. 

I wanted this piece to have sort of a longing feel to it, so the melody features large jumps in intervals. There is a section of the piece that features a chord progression in E Minor, however, the melody stays in G Major. This represents how even though everyone was against him, Thumper never became angry or violent. Also, I used percussion to simulate what Thumper's motor and mining apparatus might sound like, similar to Terence's Theme from the official show.
