taking time, now its ticking
your excuses are the same as mine

but your conscious understanding
that the past is blind

and the future's overrated
is a thin white line

between living and existing
sure you're doing fine

in relation to a dire situation
you don't understand your station
you're just dreaming up a reason to begin again

its that easy to pretend

that your complications aren't as simple as
losing love my friend it's only just another

passing by
now you're searching for her gravestone
beneath grassy piles

that were left there by the mowers
leaving blankened tiles

that are floating in the field
just like concrete isles

they are nameless they are faceless
i am aimless when i find her

make it painless 
she is dreaming that is ageless
she is golden
that is everything your holdin'
in your hand just let it go 
and then maybe you will understand

i realized the word realize
implicitly defines the real
as intertwined with anything a person
thinks or feels
and that just doesn't feel right i think
i think i feel the way of things
and that is what we call the dream
