DJ Set (Catalogue 11.03)

This is a live recording of my latest work, covering some of my favorite tracks from May to August 2012.  Played at Bar Ten Doors in Chicago on Friday, August 24th, 2012, I could have never expected the incredible response I got from the crowd that night.  It will forever live in my memory and I can't thank enough those that were there - both people I knew and those I didn't.


The set itself starts off with a long mashup of two remixes of Ornette's "Crazy" before moving into several deep tech house grooves.  Things really get moving in the back half when the bassline from Tigerskin's remix of "LMLY" by Marquez Ill hits.  From there it never lets up - techno anthem after techno anthem come through in a series of long transitions ranging from 2 to 4 minutes.  The closing pair of Darlyn Vlys' remix of Affkt's "Los Fantasmas" and Qbical's "Square 04" make for an insanely uplifting experience and bring the listener in for a soft landing, both joyful and bittersweet.
