Joining forces from adjacent areas musically as well as geographically, Township Rebellion and Marc Holstege each contribute two resounding original cuts. The German producer collective initiates side A with Aphrodite, a spacious and majestic construction that pieces together uplifting synth arrays with a brooding bassline and an overall elevating groove. A slice of near-symphonic dub tech that elates and captivates at the same time. Gaia comes in progressively, kicking in with a stripped down bassline only to escalate into a full on body mover, powered by grave synths and pensive leads. Boomy percussion lays the base for industrial pads to amp up the highs, reinforcing the somber atmosphere. Holstege’s premier offering, ‘Mangata’ unfolds sequentially, as the producer pairs a deep, melodic intro ridden with celestial chords to a sunken kick drum and metallic percussion. Strings and harmony make up the main pillars of ‘Sonorous’, used to craft a melancholic and mesmeric deeep tech exploration. Warped synths announce a tense buildup, ultimately reverting to the overtone of the initial string motif.

Kotelett & Zadak are coming around the block with a magnum bottle full of french fries in their bag. 
Where the two actually originate, nobody knows for sure. Rumors have it that they once had a common love for sprat fishing and point their fateful meeting to somewhere on the North German Coast.If you believe the various rumors, Zadak lost his pants in a raid by the Department of Fish and Game, while Kotelett, due to an overdose of moonshine, lost his Boating License. Both lost their Fishing Licenses and, whoops!, there went their livelihood...What was left for them to do but abscond to the interior, a bleary-eyed and shady escape to where no one knew them by name. "From now on ...." one of the two is said to have mumbled into his beard; which one is still not known. All in all it was a perfectly logical development, since the nights were rough anyway and the lamest things always ended up in the Net...if all catfish are gray.And so, control rod was quickly exchanged with controller, stroke side with backspin, and fog horn with fog machine. What was formerly filleted, is now being filtered, what was being caught, is now pitched. Since then they have never again scrubbed the decks, but instead record from them.Now, wherever they drop their anchor: there blows a strong bass-breeze, sound waves rise and no shot glass remains dry. Every Mermaid has exchanged her ingenue for a good pair of dance shoes and goes crazy from the unmistakable sound of the two self-acclaimed Club- Irish. Whosoever doesn't hold tight to the bar will be swept away like the sprats in the net.Even after days-long sets and a potently boozy fee, a glance into the crowd of faces, tanned by the thick club air, reveals all: Kotelett and Zadak remain uncompromised and bring together that which belongs together - music and magic moments. (The Department of Fish and Game would like to add: "We are simply happy to be rid of them.")

Fresh off the back of her latest release with renowned electronic label Kitsuné Musique, Runrummer returns with a remix of her 2020 hit ‘I Like Getting High’. The track reflects a conversation about the modern musician and distorted ideas of success, remixed by Tommy Goes Harderrr (aka Tom Salmon from Black Star Liner, Mercury Prize Nominee 1999) into an 8 minute earworm of melodic downtempo house, crossing the boundary into intelligent dance music. Recorded at the Rattle Collective and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Ashnikko, Röyksopp), this is an outstanding collaboration and a real powerhouse of a song.

Runrummer is the alias of 26-year-old Livi Morris; a songwriter and producer who grew up on the outskirts of Birmingham, praised for creating effortlessly laid-back melodies and lyrics tinged with a swagger found on Lily Allen  records. A passionate member of the LGBTQ+ community, many of her lyrics confront struggles with sexuality, gender identity and mental health, while her music comes from a combination of classic 80s legends alongside contemporary artists like Gorillaz, Elder Island and Flume. Officially tipped by BBC Introducing as “one to watch”, she opened the virtual Introducing Stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend during the pandemic, alongside sets for London Pride, Liverpool Soundcity and festival stages across France. Her latest music has featured on Spotify's New Music Friday, New Pop UK, Wholesome and Peach playlists among others, garnering international attention from Canada to South Korea.

Tommy Goes Harderrr is the pseudonym of Tom Salmon from Black Star Liner; a leading name in the Asian underground scene of the 1990s who were nominated for the Mercury Prize with their second album ‘Bengali Bantam Youth Experience’ in 1999. Tommy is an art-pop-punk-rock-awakened-existential-spiritual-alchemist, born from the infinite universe where everything that can happen will happen. He is the Spirit of the Above World, coming into physical form high on Mount Shasta, rising from the lost continent of Lemuria and the Quantum World. 

This remix is a first official release for Tom under his new name and it represents his first foray back into music since the early 2000s. It is a mighty homecoming and a much welcomed return.

Danish artist Jacob Bech returns to Large Music with his second collection of top notch treats entitled The Continue EP.   This quality two track release kicks off with the Chicago House-influenced Seconds Away packed with swirling melodics, a big fuzzy organic bassline and plenty of changes to drive the energy and mood forward.  The title track cuts a little deeper and sweeter evolving around a simple Rhodes melody and crisp vocal stabs while maintaining a distinctive underground edge. Jacob Bech- Seconds Away

Bursting on the scene in 2014 with his critically acclaimed Bantwanas Piano on Defected records, a record described by Dj Mag as a towering achievement in modern house music, South African legend Ryan Murgatroyd has continued in fine form with over 100 releases to his name, spanning labels as diverse as Get Physical, All Day I Dream, Purified, Still Vor talent, This never Happened and his own imprint Swoon Records. A musicians musician, he is a true student of the craft, and much of his work is truly transcendent of the cliches of 4/4 music.

Paving the way for countless electronic artists in South Africa, he pioneered a fusion of African and electronic elements long before the Afro House trend began, releasing the Ikalimba EP in 2015 to massive support from Solomon and countless others, and continuing to forge new sonic ground and help to place south african electronic music on the global map.

Sharing the boiler room stage with Black Coffee, Satori and Blondish in Amsterdam in 2018 he had a chance to showcase his unique sound, and incredible live performance, to the world, and from there the gates were open.

His 2019 smash hit Wicked Eyes was voted Record of the Summer in Ibiza that season, and was played on dance floors around the world but a list of heavy hitters and top 10 regulars.

His label Swoon Recordings continues to set the standard for underground electronic music parties, and top shelf releases with artists like Cioz, Atmos Blaq, Corpino and countless other local talents unearthed. While Murgatroyd took up residence in Mexico City in 2022, performing at some of CDMX’s biggest club nights and continuing to push new boundaries in the live performance, his best work is still to come.
